Having recently produced and released new material, @key-be decided that it was about time to record a new live set. “This way I’d like to share my music and enable listeners to discover my musical universe”, says the young musician. He recorded the set in his atelier in Paris - in a basement: “I spend a lot of time there because the quietness and solitude help me express my ideas musically while going deeper into the topic.” It is vitally important for him to tell a story through his sets. “It is not only about the tracks but rather some kind of contemplation throughout the whole mix, the feelings involved, cultural inspiration and a bit of my personality”, says Keybe. “The Nomad Soul” is the result of several months full of work and learning. Seine neuen Produktionen – sie waren die Inspiration, dass @key-be ein neues Liveset aufnahm. „Ich will so meine Musik teilen und sie soll entdeckt werden“, erklärt der junge Musiker, „und so können alle in mein musikalisches Universum eintauchen.“ Als er dieses Set aufzeichnete, war er in seinem Atelier im Herzen von Paris – und zwar in einem unterirdischen Keller: „Ich bringe viel Zeit an diesem Ort, weil ich es in der Stille und der Einsamkeit schaffe, meine Ideen musikalisch auszudrücken und tiefer in die Materie vorzudringen.“ Das Wichtigste ist für ihn, dass die Zusammenstellung eine Geschichte erzählt. „Es geht nicht nur um die Tracks, sondern auch um eine Reflexion im gesamten Set, das Gefühle, kulturelle Inspirationen und ein wenig von meiner Persönlichkeit vermischt“, so Keybe. „The Nomad Soul“ ist die Frucht mehrerer Arbeitsmonate, die mehrere Phasen des Lernens von Keybe zusammenfassen. Hace 3 años viví la maravillosa experiencia de participar en el Festival Burning Man en USA, y al mismo tiempo tener una corta gira por Norteamérica.

Para esa aventura, decidimos crear junto a mi gran amigo Albert Hofmann, un tributo a nuestras raíces musicales (era lo mínimo que podíamos hacer por ser hijos de la Capital de la Salsa, Cali).

Hoy, para traer de nuevo a la vida el lanzamiento de nuestra canción ¡Que viva!, queremos compartirles este sabroso homenaje a la música y la vida.

Three years ago I had a 'life chancing' chance to be in Burning Man Festival, and tour shortly around USA at the same trip.

For that adventure, Albert Hofmann and I decided to create a tribute to our musical heritage (honestly was the least we could do keeping in mind we're sons of 'Salsa' Capitol, Cali).

Today, we decided to bring back to life our release ¡Que viva! and share this 'Tasteful' tribute to life and music.

Welcome to the club, Schlepp Geist & Madmotormiquel! Both praised solo producers in their own right they have joined forces in the studio to create their “Smol Aelan EP“ for Hive Audio, a slamming conjunctional label debut that will be remembered to punters and DJ's for years to come.

The opening title track „Tuvalu“ seems Schlepp Geist & Madmotormiquel exploring soft, melodic TechHouse territories backed by well punchy drums, dramatic percussion fills and ever evolving string arrangements alongside a crystalline main motif surely to be appreciated by (Neo)Trance-lovers and heaving early morning sunrise crowds alike.  

The follow up „Niue“ stays on a melodic TechHouse lane whilst employing more tribalistic percussions and a certain enchanted mystique for an overall vibe, weighing in echoing signals and blurred melodies for a journey into a tantalising dream world.

„Nauru“ sees the duo taking jam packed venues to new levels of ecstasy with a muscular, slightly Prog-infused uptempo TechHouse approach and dreamy piano lines on top of dense, mysterious and dreamy atmospheres and an extended breakdown leading up to a deep, melodic climax that can be described as score'esque for a reason.

Finally „Baby Gangsters“ brings forth a captivating variation on tribalistic House / Slow House grooves, catering lose percussion loops alongside a catchy Disco bassline, characteristic urban vocal samples, detailed background works and klaxon'esque, large scale low end signals for climaxing dancefloor sessions.
