I'm excited to bring back my old mix series - The Kaysin Cast. This month's mix is filled with a bunch of tunes that I'm really excited about- including a few of my unreleased tracks that are coming out in 2020! I've also included a ton of heaters that I've been playing out in my sets and at home.

1. Being born in France, at what age did you make the move to Barcelona, Spain?
 A.Since last month, it's been 3 years, here in Barcelona. Time flies so fast, I love this city!

2. What are some of your musical influences outside of electronic music? 
A.Huum, I would say Rap and Latin Music!

3. How long have you been producing & what is your music production software of choice?
A. I started in 2008, step by step. Since 2012, with my nickname Juanito.  From Day 1, I produce with Ableton Live. It’s a very intuitive software, and it has a DJ spirit on certain points, from my point of view.

4. In soccer, is FC Barcelona your team? (VISCA EL BARCA!)
A. I’m living next to Camp Nou (900m) but since my youth and for life, I’m a Madridista! Hahaha

5. While being quarantined at home, have you created anything interesting?
A. Yeeees! It has been good on some points. I always try to keep a positive mind. I started a streaming series. We made the 10th edition today, and it was a great one!  With regards to producing, first month was a bit strange for my creativity, and then I produced a lot, Original and remixes!

6. What has been your favorite club to DJ?
A.  I would say MISA in Chile. Awesome vibe!

7. What has been the funniest song requested while DJing?
A.  Once in France, I was playing, and behind the booth there was like a VIP area, and the sister of a famous French soccer player came and said me “Hey, with your name Juanito, you don’t play Salsa?

8. Any hobbies outside of music?
A.  I played a lot soccer in my youth. So I’m still a fan and try to watch games when I can.

9. How would you describe your sound/style in 4 words?
 A. Groovy + Happy + Catchy + Dynamic

10. What is your favorite studio snack?
A. I really like candies! Haha

11. If you were a member in a Cumbia band, what instrument would you play? 
 A. Yeeaah, I like Cumbia! For sure it would be Congas!

12. Any new music releases coming out soon?
A. Yeees, a lot of cool news I have to share with you! I have an EP coming next week on Distortion, an EP on Be One Records (Miguel Bastida’s label) in July, an EP on Stealth (Roger’s Sanchez Label) a collab with DJ Dove, another one on Happy Techno Music, and finally some remixes including one for Wally Lopez & Ron Carroll! 

13. What tip can you give young music producers to break the writers block when they get stuck on a beat? 
A. I would say to take a break, and listen a lot of music in the vibe you like. It would help you find some inspiration! 

14. What is your favorite song at the moment?
 A. James Solace - Keep On [Hot Creations]

15. What is one thing you look forward to once quarantine is over?
A.  Quarantine is over, here in Barcelona, but they maintain some restrictions.  So, for now, I’m waiting for clubs to open! Haha

Born in Spain, with special interest for music since young age, began to release music in 2013, his frst label was VIVa MUSiC of epic Steve Lawler, after that has released music in labels like Defected or Material. In 2014 joined forces with Bodden and was involved in this project for 2 years, in that period did a track that hit the top chart sales and was played and charted by over than 400 artist, this track called "Do It" was released in OFF Recordings and reached Top 2 in Deep House Chart in Beatport, after that has the opportunity to play in some parts of Europe like Lightbox (London) or Lauter Unfug (Luxembourg). Some months later, EdOne has sufer an accident, a car ran over him and after a long period of recovery starts again his career as solo artist, releasing in labels like Defnition, Endless, Stil vor Talent, Suara, Mood Records, Selador... His music has got big support from artist like Dixon, Tale of Us, Maceo Plex, John Digweed, Dixon, Luca Bacchetti, Nicole Moudaber, Dave Seaman or Oliver Koletzki between others, without doubt is an artist to keep an eye on him.
