My first experiment using the Xaoc Devices Odessa (solo), additive synthesis oscillator. Through the Katowice stereo band isolator to tame the high frequencies a bit. Straight into the Meris Polymoon for epic reverb. 
Odessa is modulated by 4 different sources, three envelopes (looping) and 1 LFO.  It sounds as if it is alive, very interesting, gorgeous.
Thunderstorm and rain recordings from recent storms here in the Netherlands.

In this "homework" track I am using the Osmose to control "itself" and the Hydrasynth. In Bitwig post processing I faded either the Osmose or the Hydra audio so it is easier to hear what instrument is playing.

Track starts with one Instruo Troika oscillator, filtered by Mr Philter with delay from the Nostalgia. The Hydrasynh is in full "MPE"  mode using a patch I created from scratch. The amp envelopes are controlled by the key press (channel pressure/poly aftertouch) on the Osmose. 

Next the Osmose comes in where I play factory patch "classicana lead", with the "glide" set to 1 semitone. 
Second time around I added the second Troika oscillator, through Forbidden Planet filter.

The track finishes with the Hydrasynth patch. It is truly awesome to control the envelopes by playing style!

Both Troika oscillators  have a bit of TC Electronics M300 reverb added, Osmose with Lexicon MX400 reverb, Hydrasynth as is (used build in effects)

Mastered in Bitwig using Ozone 9.

Learning To Play The Osmose 3b

In this track I am using the Sequential Pro 3, the ASM Hydrasynth and the Osmose (Eaganmatrix) together. Recorded "live" in one take in my home studio. Sequencing of Hydra and Pro 3 by Cirklon.

Hydrasynth opens with bass, where filter cutoff is modulated semi-randomly from the Cirklon. Next in line is the Pro 3 with a patch inspired by my partner learning to play her didgeridoo. .

All sounds programmed by myself. The Eaganmatrix patch is a noise source sent through the BigBank quad-filter. Lots of experimentation resulted in a breathy, flute like, patch that sounds definitely spooky in the lower registers. Additional reverb effect on Osmose audio provided by Lexicon MX400.

Part 2 of learning to play the Osmose controlling the Odessa Eurorack module. The Osmose over USB connected to the Expert Sleepers FH-2 (plus a CV expansion), 10 CV outs from the FH-2 to the Odessa, the HEL extender (CV for notes) and the high CV input of the Katowice.
CC74 (Osmose MPE aftertouch) is used to modulate several parameters. With round robin note priority it is not possible to predict which finger playing on the Osmose is modulating what parameter, this produces amazing results, not reproducible.

TANPURA (OSMOSE)

This is an electronic ambient & generative piece. Featuring my very first Eurorack module, the Erica Synth GraphicVCO, in action. One of the module's wavetables is modulated by LFO 1 and combined with oscillator 3 of the Sequential Pro 3. Also featuring Tim Shoebridge's Octave oscillator for the NTS-1 (running through the Submarine effect). All combined with one of my Sequential Prophet X patches. Semi generative driven by the Manikin Schrittmacher.
