Extrawelt are busy this year and a buzz for their new music already exists so we are exited to release their brand new EP for Traum.
Their opening track "Mr Wednesday" is probably one of the most adrenalin packed tracks we have heard for a while. The track is a beast of a techno track constantly changing its color in a pace that pushes you to the limit. Don’t you think the break will give you relief, the opposite is the case... the break here seems to spark off new energy. Extrawelt do what they do best by letting their synths speak in a human syntax! And man how upset "Mr Wednesday" is! Raging with anger this track goes berserk and cries out loud. This is techno with its original message to shake off the dull skin of everyday life offering a parallel more personalized world. This is a topic which could not be more up to date. The second track "Little We Know" is nothing less than a rocking bass-line funketeer but draws more
on a melancholic state at times. But since we know Extrawelt it is not for long until they drop an uplifting sick theme in retaliation. This track is an emotional rollercoaster by any definition. And it has
the surprise at its side for example you will suddenly hear a melodic theme which you would like to hear in a new episode of Dr WHO!?
It is very clear by now that Extrawelt are full of creative ideas and could probably make a stunning bass drum out of a banana.
The third and last track "SEM" features a flow of heavily changing sequences but more in a way that sees the sound settle down, as we know it from dub music. Which is a good thing to do after two tracks that are tempo reflecting trax. Having said this Extrawelt spit out a machine made hi-hat pattern that elevates also this track towards techno madness. If you have ever seen one of Extrawelt’s live acts this EP very much verifies that. The flow of energy they generate can be highly addictive.

PREMIERE: Extrawelt - Mr Wednesday (Original Mix) [Traum Schallplatten]

This great release from Moonlight Records sees the Calgary-based label bringing together artists from its roster to remix two new tech-house collaborations from Funk D’Void and Berny. 

Despite Funk D’Void being based in Barcelona and Berny splitting his time between Berlin and Italy, the pair have previously performed alongside each other at notable venues like Macarena Club, Barcelona, and Toffler, Rotterdam. The EP’s two original tracks, “Junkies” and “Voyager,” reflect the duo’s shared passion for creating dance music with deep, hypnotic digital soundscapes. 

The minimalist track “Junkies” delivers a mesmerizing atmosphere of booming kick drums and lush chord stabs. The track’s brisk tempo, along with its flurry of hi-hats and claps, makes it primed for moving peak-time crowds with an air of aural sophistication and refinement.

Joe Silva’s remix outfits the track with robust synths and a dense backdrop of serene muted chords and pianos.

“Voyager” opens with a distinctly techno-inspired rumbling kick drum and hi-hat pattern. True to the style of European techno, these dominant kicks remain the focal point of the track as different layers of chord stabs are woven in and out, creating the effect of going on a sonic journey.

Orlando Voorn’s remix further augments the bass of the original’s dominant kicks, adding claps and percussion fills then complementing them with a reworked chord progression.

Funk D’Void released two EPs on Moonlight last year, “They Don’t Love U” and a remix EP for “All Your Sh*t.” The Funk D’Void and Berny EP marks the first appearance of Berny on the label.

Ellen Allien and the BPitch team proudly announce a 33-track compilation dedicated to the infamous 'We Are Not Alone' event series and Berlin’s underground techno talent. BPitch Control and UFO Inc. boss Ellen Allien's innovative party series was launched in 2016 and remains committed to inviting an exciting crew of artists to perform alongside stunning visuals by Pfadfinderei. After the closure of the beloved homebase 'Griessmuehle', the rave moved to the old venue's new location that became: Revier Südost. 

The 'We Are Not Alone' compilation features artists that have played at the WANA parties, as well as those who will join the line-up for future events. 'We Are Not Alone' will be released in three installments, featuring 11 tracks each. With pt1 released on October 9th featuring music by Ellen Allien, Introversion, P.Leone, Insolate, Lady Starlight and more.  - This is the new Berlin underground.

Solid beats & a Detroit influenced bass-line are joined by deep acid-lines, trippy melodies & ethereal pads creating this beautiful celestial outing. Mr.C’s “Celebration Of Life” vocal refrain highlights the primary reason Mr.C gives for being a DJ. This is big.

Next up Superfreq partner David Scuba does what he does best, supplying a dark rolling tech groove for the dance floor. Utilising the original acid lines, melodies & pads David makes the track his own with quirky noises, tough beats & an infectious attitude. 

Next up comes Noel Jackson who shifts things up a couple of gears with an acid techno work out. Direct beats, rumbling bass & incessant acid take us on a dark & haunting journey highlighting Noel’s unmistakable twisted sound that satisfies both the dance floor & the darker recesses of the mind.
