College Basketball Radio Stretch

CSUN Head Coach Andy Newman, sits down with us, ahead of Quarter Final match-up, with Hawaii, at The Dollar Loan Center, Henderson, NV.

Team split two regular season meetings, CSUN winning at home on January 6th, 76-66, Hawaii held serve in Honolulu 72-70 on March 6th.

Bows were 3rd seed in 2024 Big West Men's Basketball Championships, while CSUN had to defeat 6th seeded UC Santa Barbara to earn the Quarter Final berth.  Matadors last advanced to Big West Semi Finals in 2014.

Ghizal Hasan is a play-by-play broadcaster, based in Los Angeles, CA. For the past decade, he's primarily covered the Big West Conference, while handling freelance assignments for the WCC, Mountain West and Pac-12.

Hasan has an extensive background in both television and radio, having broadcast for both Fox Sports and ESPN.  He's covered NCAA Division 1 Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, Soccer and Gymnastics, as well as both Junior College and CIF events.

Ghizal is a graduate of both UC Irvine & UCLA, and was born and raised in Northern New Jersey, where he grew up listening to WFAN, and rooting for the Nets, Devils, Yankees and Jets.
