Woodsy Bransfield is a British artist whose work combines pop performance with more traditional fine-art processes.

‘Are they names if they're randomly generated ’ is a durational audio work by Luke Nairn, consisting of 10 parts the collective audios form a monologue of episodic fiction that is spoken, recorded and uploaded to SoundCloud each day. The audios present the narrator as he recalls a personal account of his daily activities to the listener and reveals his world of social homogeneity, automation and surveillance. This world is a place where the extremities of authoritarianism playout and the idiosyncrasies of the narrator endeavour to permeate.

Informed by philosopher Willem F.G. Haselagers writing on robotics and autonomy, science fiction literature and political discourse the work will weave appropriated texts, phrases and instructions with original material to create an abstract narrative.
