Still Haunt My Dreams

I wrote this song to address my depression and anxiety, it seems to have had an effect on my own mental health in a positive way because it's a cry for help as you will hear in the lyrics. I'll post the lyrics down below.

f my mistakes are a sounding board  for who I am, then I can’t see what you’re doing right outside the veil of darkness I didn’t know I lived in. 

When up is down and right is left and the only way I can move is through, even when I see it as backwards, I’m still covered in the dark bubble I put myself in. 

Be our star when the dark is thick like fog
Be our shore when we’re tossed about like the wave 
Be our rock when we sink beneath the sand
Be our bed when we hurt our hearts with sin. 

The cell I dwell in, is as comfortable as the cave I’m lost within, like a chasm in a mountain where no one can be found. Be the still small voice, guiding out from within. Be the spirit I’m fully trusting in, while without from within. Till I’m content. Where my mind can find peace from delusion. Right here next to us, without and within.

Be the reality when I can’t see what’s in front of me, Your love indeed, is where I’m running, tossing and turning, breathing evenly, be the reality.
