"On their forthcoming album, General Dome, Hudson-based duo Buke and Gase have gone deeper and darker lyrically than we've heard from them before, dealing in twisted images that are rarely what they seem. The record's nervy, aggressive title track begins with Arone Dyer ominously describing how she '[carries] a crest of weight chest dense with general doom/ I awoke to find this as my vital sense.' She goes on to declare herself, "Not the last pawn with a gun," and 'a force to be decreed,' but it's a given that there's more to her message than crude violence.

"It makes perfect sense that Dyer and her bandmate, Aron Sanchez, chose to unveil the record's artwork with 'General Dome'-- a piece inspired by a Sol LeWitt exhibition that Dyer caught at New York's Dia Beacon gallery, in which the two have created a new graphical, coded alphabet with which to create cryptic messages. Obviously, it's no basic A-Z; the band will post the key to uncode the messages on their website closer to the record's release."

Brooklyn-based BUKE (byook) &amp; GASE (gace) are Arone Dyer on the "buke" (a self-modified six-string former baritone ukulele) and Aron Sanchez on the "gass" (a guitar-bass hybrid of his own creation). Both of them play double duty, also mobilizing a small army of foot percussion. These instruments are then filtered through various pedals, amplifiers and homemade inventions to create a surprisingly complex sound. Dyer's supermelodic vocal lines weave through the beautiful yet unwieldy musical matter, balancing light and dark, calamity and control. Their musical multi-tasking makes for live shows that are visually unexpected and sonically explosive.

Deadmau5 & Kaskade - I Remember (Cover by Mr FijiWiji & Laura Brehm)

This rare lo-fi version of Much Against Everyone's Advice can be found on the deluxe edition of the album of the same name: the enhanced section contains a game titled "S.O.U.L.V.A.D.E.R.S." (you can guess what it looks like) and a WAV file with the track which does not appear in the game. I am not sure whether it is 8 bit or 16 bit sound, so feel free to correct me.

Fred V & Grafix, the dynamic duo from Devon, present their debut solo single on Hospital. “Goggles” is a four-track EP featuring the full spectrum of their sound. The “Goggles” EP is fresh, fun and jam-packed with exciting, dancefloor-driven beats that should excite and unite D&B fans for 2013.

With its unassuming bleep intro, “Goggles” will no doubt take some by surprise with its subterranean sounds as bubbling bass and intricate arpeggios develop into the kind of aquatic frenzy you won't have witnessed since doing 50 metres butterfly at school. But wait, “Games People Play” ups the ante with a more recognisable Fred V & Grafix aesthetic - full of polished vocal glow, warm atmospherics, punchy drums and live guitar from Fred Vahrman himself.

Returning to a stripped back, contemplative tone and we have “Denmark Road” with its shimmying soundscape, shuffling breaks and murmuring Calibre-esque sweeps. Beware the epic “Basilisk” awaiting at the end of the EP. This monster has a hypnotizing intro, then bites deep, with a drop dominated by dense, contorting synth work. Awesome.
