The following music is inspired by the short film RAGE, being created by a group of young filmmakers based in Pittsburgh, PA. Directed and co-written by synth artist Arcade High, RAGE is an action packed, 16-bit injected, 80s revenge tale. The story follows Kurt Niles, an every day guy living in the neon-lit Halogen City. After being left dead in the streets by a gang called The Dangers, Kurt returns from his asphalt grave and goes on a bloody rampage to save the girl he loves.

Inspired by early 90s arcade beat-em ups and action films of the 1980s, RAGE sets out to be a wild ride of blood, guts, and neon lights.

Special thanks to all the artists who willingly created this music to support the film. All the money from this compilation goes directly to the production of the full-length version of the film.

"On their forthcoming album, General Dome, Hudson-based duo Buke and Gase have gone deeper and darker lyrically than we've heard from them before, dealing in twisted images that are rarely what they seem. The record's nervy, aggressive title track begins with Arone Dyer ominously describing how she '[carries] a crest of weight chest dense with general doom/ I awoke to find this as my vital sense.' She goes on to declare herself, "Not the last pawn with a gun," and 'a force to be decreed,' but it's a given that there's more to her message than crude violence.

"It makes perfect sense that Dyer and her bandmate, Aron Sanchez, chose to unveil the record's artwork with 'General Dome'-- a piece inspired by a Sol LeWitt exhibition that Dyer caught at New York's Dia Beacon gallery, in which the two have created a new graphical, coded alphabet with which to create cryptic messages. Both of them play double duty, also mobilizing a small army of foot percussion. These instruments are then filtered through various pedals, amplifiers and homemade inventions to create a surprisingly complex sound. Dyer's supermelodic vocal lines weave through the beautiful yet unwieldy musical matter, balancing light and dark, calamity and control. Their musical multi-tasking makes for live shows that are visually unexpected and sonically explosive.

This rare lo-fi version of Much Against Everyone's Advice can be found on the deluxe edition of the album of the same name: the enhanced section contains a game titled "S.O.U.L.V.A.D.E.R.S." (you can guess what it looks like) and a WAV file with the track which does not appear in the game. I am not sure whether it is 8 bit or 16 bit sound, so feel free to correct me.
