Having taken a more passive role providing edits and live instrumentation for the likes of Errors and Clark in recent years, Wax Stag’s sophomore record II (duh) is a supple extension of that pastoral sound. The track titles tell the whole story, really: “Woodland Walk”, “Race To The Lake”, “Caverns” and lead-off “Summit”.

Longtime homie FaltyDL - a man who, as Thris can attest, enjoys the finer things in life (i.e. eating grapes and listening to jazz) - provides a grin-worthy remix of the already ebullient track. The chintzy samples and limber percussion harken back to 2012's Hardcourage/Our House Stab release - bold colours splashed left, right n centre.

Winter Stroll

Hey all! Putting out my first ever EP! This EP is inspired by my favorite music genres (electronic, Synthwave/Retro, Rock, Heavy Metal and more) -- and more importantly, inspired by my love for video game music. I'd love to compose for a game some day! 

I'm an amateur producer who started learning music theory & music production from absolute scratch in July 2025. This EP is the product of all I've learned in the past 5 months, and I'd love your suggestions and constructive criticism for improving my composition & production quality! I do think some of the tracks (especially #2 and #4) could definitely use more polish!

@BestEffort are back with Metric Systems. A covert project running over 20 years in duration. It has moved across multiple continents, under multiple names. The 8 songs that make up ‘People in the Dark’ were recorded between 2000 and 2016 in various locations across Sydney, Melbourne and New York. The bright-eyed sci-fi fascination of Australia’s Clan Analogue collective intertwines with the more sinister facets of modern technology - echoed voices pepper the album like fragments of a surveillance tape collected by our digital panopticon. A pervasive sense of paranoia and unease winds its way through these 8 tracks that move between techno, downtempo and more abstract strains of electroacoustic experimentation. 

The wordless vocals of “Your Room” drift over the unspooling synthesizer sequence that seems to swell and recede from the foreground like the ebb and flow of a lapping tide, lapsing into dreamy ambience before the drums come back in.

Fougère is a new project from London pianist and composer Jamie Norton, although music isn’t a new avenue for him. After years spent writing for stadium-selling artists, Norton’s solo project finds him stripping back the arena-destined compositions and taking the piano as a focus. His first single, ‘Movement’, was accompanied by a live performance video shot at London’s Printworks, a celebration of the importance of these club spaces that are sadly empty right now. Now, ‘Movement’ has been given the remix treatment by Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard, adding a subtle groove to Norton’s spacious tracks. “I love the emotion that comes through all of Joe Goddard’s music,” Fougère says. “He seems to bring an organic and human touch to his songs. He was therefore the perfect choice when looking for remixers for these Fougère piano tracks.”
