ENCOM has recovered data from what remains of Kevin Flynn’s reformatted data disc.

Using an older backup of the ENCOM mainframe computer system a new amalgamation has been formed. This creation is under the supervision of Edward Dillinger Jr.

However; buried deep in the backup code is something long forgotten. A program that left unchecked could repeat the mistakes of the past. Pursuit of the perfect system has always been a curse.

It is not always certain what we remove from the equation to achieve such perfection.

Ghost Notes - Monica's Dream

This EP is an introduction to The Ocean Beneath and their 80's inspired mixture of powerful analogue synthesis, melodic sweeping vocals and huge grooving percussion. From start to finish these recordings have been a labour of love, working extremely closely with producer Grant Henderson and lyricist Nath Jackson we put our all in to creating a great end product. Influenced by acts like Gunship, HVOB & Talk Talk to name a few, as a group we wanted to mix sounds of the 80's with super modern recording techniques and grooves to get people moving.

I hope you enjoy this track as much as I enjoyed making it. A Nightmare on Elm Street  the game is deeply rooted in my past and child hood, I grew up loving it and hating it all at the same time. Its a bad and yet enjoyable game that has for whatever reason, some amazing music throughout. This track is one of my favorites and I never felt that it got  the attention it deserved. Now I bring to you the remix I feel is deserved. Leave a comment and Let me know what you think!

Born in the 90’s. Ghost Notes is renown & infamous for his dark and ominous hip hop beats.
Ghost Notes has been a big influence when it comes to shaping the sound of what hip hop music is in the Faroe Islands today.
Mostly known for his productions working with the Faroese hiphop group SWANGAH, Ghost Notes has collaborated with SWANGAH on two of their latest albums. Where the latest album “Lán Mær Eitt Oyra” won two awards at FMA 2018 “Best lyrics” & “Album of the year”.

Since then he has embarked on his own solo career as an artist, he released his first solo album in late 2019 titled “Her Visions".   

The sound of Ghost Notes is gritty, grimy & rugged. The instrumentals are sample based beats, that are sampled from records that he has collected globally and tied together with heavy drums and heavy bass.
