MODDI – “Run to the Water" new single and music video
Guest appearance from Farao.

Moddi is known for turning down a €100.000 grant from the Norwegian Statoil because of their intentions of oil drilling in the North of Norway. The same year, in 2010, he received an equally large grant from the Norwegian pop group a-ha and toured as support for Angus and Julia Stone. His Norwegian Grammy nominated debut album Floriography was recorded in Iceland with producer Valgeir Sigurdsson (Björk, Cocorosie, etc.) and was released in the UK in 2011.
 
Moddi released his second album Set the House on Fire in March this year and has since been busy touring Europe. 
Run to the Water is the second single from the album.

On “Run to the Water” Moddi strengthens the Scandinavian sound, teaming up with fellow Norwegian, yet London-based Kari Kamrud Jahnsen, also known as Farao. 

Moddi about the song: 
When I wrote Run to the Water I attempted to understand what it's like to live with schizophrenia. A friend of mine has the diagnosis and sees and hear things that I would think of as impossible. The song is about how reality can be seen with very different eyes than your own, and trying to understand what's going on in other people's heads.

Highasakite er i sluttfasen av innspilling av nytt album. Det nye albumet slippes tidlig 2014, men før den tid slipper vokalist Ingrid Helene Håvik soloalbumet Babylove den 1. november i år.

Highasakite er i full sving med å ferdigstille oppfølgeren til albumet 'All That Floats Will Rain', et album som både ga kvintetten en nominasjon til Statoil-stipendet og Spellemannprisen, og som høstet massiv ros fra både publikum og et samlet pressekorps. Musikken og solide liveopptredener ga også bandet en mengde oppmerksomhet i utlandet, og Highasakite har i løpet av det siste året turnert i både USA and Europe. - blant annet under Berlin Music Week, Iceland Airwaves, Eurosonic, SXSW, The Great Escape, Tallinn Music Week, Roskilde, SPOT festival, Reeperbahn Festival og mange flere. Bandet har også sikret seg samarbeidspartnere verden over.

I løpet av innspillingsprosessen til Highasakites kommende album, som denne gangen har foregått i Propellers studio med Kåre Vestrheim som produsent, har låtskriver Ingrid Helene Håvik skrevet en mengde låter. Underveis ble det klart at ikke alle disse passet like godt inn på det nye albumet til bandet. Låtene var samtidig alt for sterke til å gi slipp på, og Ingrid Helen Håvik har derfor parallelt med produksjonen av det nye albumet til Highasakite også fullført disse låtene med det hun selv beskriver som et litt annet sound.

Vi har nå gleden av å offentliggjøre at dette materialet nå slippes 1. november 2013, under artistnavnet Ingrid. Albumet har fått tittelen 'Babylove', og releasekonsert er satt til den 13. november på Parkteatret i Oslo.

"Jeg tenkte at disse låtene ikke passet så godt til Highasakite, og at dem samlet hadde et tema som ikke gikk overens med det som jeg føler er tematikken på det nye albumet vi er i ferd med å ferdigstille. Jeg hadde veldig lyst til videreutvikle overskuddslåtene med et litt annet sound, og samtidig hadde jeg ekstra studiotid til overs i Ocean Sound som jeg ønsket å benytte. Resultatet er et soloalbum jeg er veldig stolt av."

Ingrid har selv både skrevet og produsert albumet i sin helhet, og med seg på albumet har hun fått med seg følgende musikere:

Born in the 90’s. Ghost Notes is renown & infamous for his dark and ominous hip hop beats.
Ghost Notes has been a big influence when it comes to shaping the sound of what hip hop music is in the Faroe Islands today.
Mostly known for his productions working with the Faroese hiphop group SWANGAH, Ghost Notes has collaborated with SWANGAH on two of their latest albums. Where the latest album “Lán Mær Eitt Oyra” won two awards at FMA 2018 “Best lyrics” & “Album of the year”.

Since then he has embarked on his own solo career as an artist, he released his first solo album in late 2019 titled “Her Visions".   

The sound of Ghost Notes is gritty, grimy & rugged. The instrumentals are sample based beats, that are sampled from records that he has collected globally and tied together with heavy drums and heavy bass.
