For this mix I wanted to try and build a blend some of the outcome of my researches towards the different shades and forms of danceable music I personally enjoy the most, possibly limiting as much as possible the usage of music conceived and created specifically for the contemporary dance floors and sound systems, and trying to dig deeper into different dimensions of regular and non-regular rhythms, music jams and head-moving sonic creations from all over the world, mostly focusing on the mediterranean macro area and more.

My past, when I was living in Berlin and DJing more regularly in clubs, has helped me shape my technical skills. Milano instead has helped me breaking my limits, getting out of my comfort zone and destroying a lot of the patterns that, as a DJ and Music Maker, were locking me down in a box. There’s a lot of oxygen, curiosity and creativity nowadays in my everyday life.

Definitely one of the kinetic events. I prefer small DIY events over infamous and hyper-celebrated social gatherings. The only thing I care the most about lately is the sound system.

w:I recorded this mix at the location of my party Acid Lake, the sun was setting, a deer was roaming up ahead, and a giant orange moth was flying around me :) 

o:What drew you to the sounds?
w:I have been thinking a lot recently about the perception of time in the context of love and loss. The way that our mind orchestrates a measurement of how long something feels in accordance with its impact on us. 

There is a magic involved in our metaphysical connections with one another, and the ways in which we can connect despite distance and extended time apart, but also how it feels when something bad happens to someone we love, sometimes before any contact with that person if the connection is deep enough. 

I wanted to channel these thoughts and connect with a collection of sounds spanning across many years and locations, tied together by their formation deep within the soul.
