Jungle Carioca (Lado A) is a mixtape that connects three iconic musical worlds from the 90s: British soundclashes, the ragga and jungle scene, and the sound system battles in Rio de Janeiro's Baile Funk parties. Bringing these influences together, producer Cybass creates a sonic dialogue that celebrates the energy and confrontational spirit of these cultures, while drawing parallels between them.
Cybass draws from his experience growing up in Rio de Janeiro during the peak of the 90s Funk Carioca scene, blending this with his career as one of the pioneers of jungle in Brazil. After three months of research and almost 100 funk carioca samples, he builds a bridge between these two musical universes.

Written over a year of intense psychotherapy & various projects falling through, SCP began to question if music was really meant for her. HONEY doesn’t shy away from the emotional weight of facing giving up on your dreams, contrasting screaming distortion against warm, analog, haze-like textures. The journey is intense, but ultimately, is a story of hope - on refusing to give up, and laughing it off.
