When the sea finally rose
Only Che was left
He found shelter
In a Storage King shed
With a garden on the roof
And a boat at its edge.

For supplies he’d row
To the nearest store
His long white beard
Curled up on the floor
His muscular arms
Sweeping the oars.

Once he’d found a store
He’d cast the holy net down
Drag it across
And drag it around
And then he’d pull up the net
Laden with cans, foamy & wet.

 
Thus Che lived at ease
With plenty of food
At ease but alone
In this neighbourhood.
In his storage home
With the water below.

He’d sit on the roof
In an old deck chair
Looking around
In the quiet of the day
Feeling the breeze
Enjoying the spray.

Eating and drinking
Baking potatoes on a fire
The tomatoes and cannabis
Both sun dried

It left Che behind.

Having a glorious time.
