About the Album:
I started writing this collection of tracks inspired by sounds of the deep and wanting to explore the more minimal side of the genre, it's something I'm slowly working towards.
Throughout the album in amongst the clicks, crackles and hiss are the sounds of a scuba diver breathing through their regulator, it's one of the first sounds heard on the release. It was this sound I wanted to use to try and gel the tracks together, with the seven tracks ranging from those that are more dub-inspired, others more introspective and minimal, and others almost dancefloor friendly.

SUBSET: Four parts dub, one part deep house, equal parts minimal and techno, dusted with an organic blend of evolving atmospheres and live filtering delays. Served fresh in the Sunday sun or deep on a dance-wood floor. Twice chilled for added grooveability. Grown in New Zealand.

Manual Music presents you three deep intelligent cuts by Roby Deep, Peter Corvaia and Fractal Architect on the first 'Tales From The Deep' EP.

Roby Deep caught our attention with the release of 'Going Under' on Submarine Vibes, a personal favorite last year of Paul Hazendonk, the man behind Manual Music. Paul asked the Slovenian artist to join the Manual family and the result is here; 'Theatre' a deep throbbing builder layered on an acid bassline with delicate snippets of clear melodies breaking through during the entire track.

Peter Corvaia take things even deeper on his Manual debut 'Caspian'. This song breathes intelligence all over and you can clearly hear that Peter has put in a lot of time and effort to create something that special and rich in detail. Proper Manual debut here by the American.

Fractal Architect makes his return on Manual Music after his 2014 debut 'Crystalline' and having had released a mini album on the MNL sublabel in between. 'Espionage' sounds as mysterious as the title suggests. A beautiful warm piece of electronic music to end this release in proper fashion.

Ablekid aka Daniel Moore is a veteran DJ/producer from the famous Orlando underground now living inAustin, TX. Host : “Pineal Sessions with Ablekid” on Dna Radio Fm.
The Ablekid moniker has seen success in various forms since the move back home to his native Texas. Now signed to Christian Lang’s Kindred Recordings (Paris) and Rapid Fire Records (Miami), and a soon-to-be released track on a much-respected underground label, Daniel has also fostered relationships with many promo services as well as becoming part of the esteemed Release Promo roster in 2014.
His continued success in the US underground is a combination of effective crate digging, silky smooth DJ skills and just the right amount of grit and determination. On the mix front, aside from his continued radio work, Daniel is most proud of his original music and mixes on SoundCloud which currently boast over 160,000 plays &amp; 24,000+ downloads in over 110 countries worldwide. His is the result of all this hard work and shows a depth of knowledge and attention to detail that has seen his heroes rule the underground for many wonderful tune filled years.

Acutek brings his first solo E.P. on Gibbon with a very direct and twisted up technoid focused journey. No Salt, More Pepper drives from the depths from the very off, leading us into a very spacey and almost psychedelic atmosphere all underpinned by techno roots. 
Chris Johnson follows this up with his very different take that leads us on what initially appears to be a more mellow journey before he unleashes those jet engines of techno at us full throttle, driving energy interspersed with chordal moods, the twisted psychedelia and hints and touches of the original.

Backing these up is AA side, Transport. 
Acutek shows his darker and more introspective side, the bubbling nature of Transport coupled with its serpentine like overtones that carry us along its ever subtly changing steps to the journeys end.
Carl Higson provides the remix for Transport and he changes things up into his own inimitable vibe. A progressive house force is extracted from the tanks of the original and layered wonderfully with acid motion and depth, turning corners you that bring something altogether alive and of its own whilst still conveying the overtones of the original.
