Midnight Riot has proven to be the forerunner and the industry standard within the disco/nu-disco re-edits scene. The Midnight Riot team and its amazing roster of producers have managed to cultivate an identity that is distinctly separate to their contemporaries and has an incredible following of loyal supporters which can be noted in the sales success of nearly every release since the label's launch in 2012. The main reason for this is Midnight Riot's continued high standard of music curated by label boss Yam Who?, who maintains dedicated to shaking up the scene, breaking new talent and providing the very best the genre has to offer. This isn't disco or edits anymore this is Midnight Riot, a genre, a style, a sound unto itself. 

After the unprecedented success of its predecessor Midnight Riot Volume 8 has arrived to be a bigger, heavier & more up-tempo affair than all the other albums to date. Yam Who? and the Midnight Riot team are delving deeper into a myriad of diverse styles, developing even further into original compositions & gliding smoothly between straight up house, twisted future disco, 80’s street soul, naughty party joints and electrifying techno. If the goal is to break new ground with every compilation and push the whole scene forward, then mission success. As ever Midnight Riot Volume 8 will be a global affair as it becomes championed by Djs all over the world and setting alight dancefloors of every shape and size.

The roster is home to the bigger names from the scene such as Late Nite Tuff Guy, Rayko, Dead Rose Music Company, 80’s Child, Yam Who?, BG Baarregaard, GG Edit’s, TV, Wonkar, Mister Absolutt ,Casual Connection, Weedyman, Ziggy Phunk, Young Pulse, Tony Johns, Boogie Filtered, Fran Deeper & James Rod but also welcomes the new breed including Korama, Too Young, Marce DP, Goldboy, Hober Mallow, Phil Jaimes, OMM, The New Black, Bong, Guy Dee, Lloyd Van Lee, South Beach, Lemon Mint, Groove Motion & Coutel. The future looks bright for Midnight Riot and its just a matter of sitting back and enjoying the vibes.

Ricky L and Marcoradi have been friends for as long as they can remember.
They first met on the dancefloor of one of Italy’s most iconic clubs, Red Zone in
Perugia, where Ricky has been a resident DJ for the best part of 25 years. Now,
they’ve joined forces in the studio for the first time, uniting under the Hear &
Now alias for Claremont 56.

Those with a keen knowledge of Italian dance music will know their impressive
track records. Both have a history of producing fine deep house records and
remixes for the likes of Ibadan, Uomo, Reincarnation, Top Tracks, Restricted
Tracks and Vega Records. With Hear & Now, they’ve decided to step back
from the dancefloor, instead producing hazy, emotion-rich music for after-hours
listening, and mornings spent blinking into the sunshine.

A-side “Hirundo” is a thing of rare beauty: a gently flowering opus constructed
from shuffling, mind-massaging drum rhythms, spacey pads, stretched-out
organ chords and Marcoradi’s effortless guitar playing. Lilting, alien synthesizer
refrains seemingly tumble from the heavens, intensifying the duo’s blissful
mood.

Flip for an even deeper excursion, the softly spun wizardry of “Sabbia Magica”.
Here, the duo’s house influences gently rise to the surface. This is slow, deep
and dreamy house from the top drawer, with jazz-flecked guitar flourishes and
undulating electronics combining effortlessly with hypnotic, metronomic drums,
cascading string lines and a wonderfully dexterous electronic bassline. You can
dance if you wish, but you may just want a hug instead.

Coming from Beirut, the city that parties no matter what, Klo relied on music as a vector of expression when words failed , and as a means of emotional support when no one could console her. Chloe’s journey started when she was introduced to violin. From a very young age, she has been inspired by icons, whether they produced soul music like ‘Sade’ or acid bangers like ‘Ron Hardy’ did in the 90s.

In between the fine lines of music and arts, Chloe an interior architect graduate found herself immersed in a world revolving around different sounds. She is currently studying music production and sound engineering in Point Blank Music School UK.
