Hey guys! We were so stoked when Shaun gave us the opportunity to work on this remix, as soon as we heard the vocal we knew we had to play with the idea. We wanted to have a playful yet dark remix, and wanted to show our ability to create two worlds in one track. We utilized the Juno-106, one of our favorite analogue synths, to create an 80s sounding atmosphere and combined that with our modern production style to give the remix a unique edge. Overall this record was amazing to work with. This is one of our favorite remixes we’ve made, it’s one that came together so naturally and we’re glad it’s finally out. Hope you all enjoy!

Slovenly Recordings welcomes Poland’s prime purveyors of pierogi punk MORON’S MORONS to our putrid populace. This is their first release after 2017’s self-titled debut on the UK’s No Front Teeth Records. It’s called “Indecent Exposure” (no song title to match?), and it’s just the kind of hot mess we cream over: sloppy, unpolished shit rock, distorted to the max, and faster than lubed moose manure with barely intelligible vocals that we’re keen to judge based on song titles like “Vibrator Violator,” and the obvious FM radio smash hit of the bunch, “Devil Sucks My Cock and Swallows.” An artistic triumph in every sense that we aren’t likely to witness again, or at least until the release of the upcoming 7” by Puppy and the Hand Jobs!

Kios is an indie rock band based in Nashville, TN that Indie Shuffle describes as “joyous indie-pop”, with “vibrant and uplifting melodies hard to ignore”. The three piece is made up of Cole Suddarth (vocals/guitar), Aaron Krak (drums), and Mitch Wollenberg (bass). Cole and Aaron met through a previous band that formed at Belmont University - Aaron and Mitch grew up together in Newark, Ohio; all three moved to Nashville in 2014 to pursue music.

In the summer of 2017, the trio moved in together which sparked the idea of creating music. Cole decided to spend the summer in his hometown, Richmond, Virginia, where he began writing songs and recording demos for the project. The three sent demos back and forth, drawing in on their rock and pop backgrounds and thus, Kios began. They dropped their first single, “Be Loved” in March of 2018. The trio has been compared to names such as COIN, Colony House, Bad Suns, Two Door Cinema Club, and Phoenix. They plan to release an EP by the end of summer 2018.

It’s been a while for me. Some time ago, I found myself in a very dark place.  

It felt like an impossible hole to climb out of, so I checked myself into rehab for two months.  

 Out of that darkness I found a creativity and serenity unlike any I have known before.  I not only had the desire to write music back but it was something I needed to do.  

I spent the last 9 months discovering a new sense of self and putting to rest an old one.  On this journey I found an album full of songs that is more honest than anything I’ve ever made.  

This body of work is not only a documentation of demons - it’s creation itself is a triumph over them.

 I’ll be releasing that music, marking a new chapter in my music and my life.

Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino (stylised as Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino) is the sixth studio album by English indie rock band Arctic Monkeys. It was released on 11 May 2018 through the Domino Recording Company, following up AM (2013). It is produced by frequent Arctic Monkeys collaborator James Ford and band frontman Alex Turner. Indie rock from Holland

When you take out your dictionary, you’ll notice that you won’t be able to find the word ‘gifter’ in it. Irregardless, Gifter was able to create a definition of this word on its own. The typical gifter-moment is an eye opener: a moment of clarity. Just like their music: catchy riffs and a clear melody, resulting in a solid mix of indie rock and power pop.

Gifter has quite the experience with touring the country; from the Dutch islands to the most southern part of the Netherlands. They supported The Twilight Sad at EKKO and played at various venues and festivals. The band got selected for Proud of the South, they recorded at the Mailmen Studio with Martijn Groeneveld and they were featured in all kinds of playlists. 

People say everything used to be better ‘back in the days’, but the future promises even more. With that thought in mind, Gifter left their postrock-phase behind them and they made place for a whole new formula when releasing ‘Falling Down’. Soon after the clip was released at The Daily Indie, tv-channel XITE broadcasted the clip as well.

The band is now completely comfortable with their new sound and they are working tirelessly on new material. Some good news: Falling Down will get a sequel on May the 25th.
