Disco Despair’s most recent ‘You Are Girl’ EP via Youth Control has received high acclaim from the likes of Your EDM, EDM Sauce, Earmilk, Acid Stag, Salacious Sound, TILT Mag, Always Doing Damage, Music Is My Life, and many more. Now, Disco Despair is set to drop a ‘You Are Girl Remixes’ EP on May 13th with Youth Control. The package includes 3 fresh remixes from respected producers Birdee, KASPERG, as well as Youth Control’s own Smok.

Birdee’s remix is a crunchy, crisp, hip take on “You Are Girl (ft. Jeremy David)” reminiscent of legendary contemporary disco producers like Daft Punk, while Smok’s remix has a more classic, bouncy rhythm underneath Jeremy David’s gorgeous vocals. To top it off, KASPERG’s remix of “I Guess You Know (ft. Therese)” provides a mystic deep house atmosphere for listeners to swim in. Following the success of Leo Islo's EP Golden Grave earlier this year, the release received some exciting remixes from the likes of Birdee, Jamie Prado and Cabinett. This collection of tracks provide a diverse collection of moods and sounds from Prado's soothing Playa Remix of ‘Blame’ to Birdee's stellar electro-disco refresh of ‘Euphoria’ rounded out by a piano happy dance rework of ‘Golden Grave’ by Cabinett. 

Inspired by his frequent trips to Colombia, Jamie Prado took inspiration from his latest visit to produce this beautiful remix that features delicate guitar riffs, hypnotic piano chords, and soft drum arrangements. Prado submerges the listener in a tranquil harmonic state of mind, allowing them to ponder and reflect on every word and beat.

Disco afficionado, Birdee lays down a thick rendition of ‘Euphoria’ with funky bass lines, reverberating electro guitar riffs, and rich dance floor rhythms. The track features an infectious groove that harkens to Daft Punk’s electro house style harmonizing with Islo’s signature vocals. This remix will have the listener nodding their head from the outset, bouncing along with to every note.

Cabinett returns to work on another Leo Islo track and his familiarity with the signers style seals the deal for this remix package with his rework of ‘Golden Grave’. Pulsating with bright piano chords and uplifting builds that really let Islo’s voice shine, this rework blends modern pop riffs with nu-disco horns and percussive layers that keep the energy flowing throughout the song.

Close on the heels of last month’s release of Birdee’s – Three Sides of Love EP, we have a wonderful remix package inc. Roisto’s mix of ‘Can’t Fight the Feeling’ and two mixes of ‘I Want You (Ft Gamble & Burke) from Disco Despair and Colour Vision. 

Kicking proceedings off is Roisto, who is in great demand at present being fresh from remixing The Magician and Bob Sinclar, Roisto jumps in with a beautiful Disco House version of ‘Can’t Fight the Feeling’, that has you back in the 90’s cutting up the floor to the French House/Electro styling’s of such luminaries as Alan Braxe and Pete Heller. 

Next up is Disco Despair; coming off the back of his remix duties for Nada Funk and Tom & Hills, Disco Despair delivers two great mixes. Disco Despair’s Vocal mix pushes the talents of Gamble & Burke to the forefront with a collection of synth stabs and layered harmonies that do nothing but compliment the vocals of this great track, whilst the Instrumental version strips the track back leaving a cool ambience, airy, light and full of promises to come. 

To round the package off we have Southern California’s Colour Vision mix of ‘I want You’ starting out with a more defined Deeper Bass line underlying the great vocals once again, into the breakdown and there’s an old school trance build hiding in there somewhere waiting to lift you up and carry through to the very last beat. All in all a remix package to suit all tastes that will be available from Youth Control on 6th of January.
