This is my arrangement of the Dona Nobis Pacem cannon (attributed to Mozart).  I bring in the three lines of the cannon one by one, and then add three of my own in a lower register for a total of 6 independent parts.  Enjoy!

The turning of a new leaf.


The irony with this piece in particular is that I made so many versions of this and republished them at least 60 times.

I was trying to make something that my dad liked, but all I really needed was to make something that I liked.

And though the motivation for this piece was tainted, I can say I genuinely like this piece.

Reimagining of a piece I wrote forever ago.




I originally wrote this piece for string quartet and it was inspired during my Beethoven phase lol. 

I originally named it "reluctant disgust", it was shortly after I broke up with my first girlfriend, I still loved her but knew I needed to break away 
(it was a pretty toxic relationship, definitely my CPTSD didn't make it a fun time for anyone).

So this was partly my way of processing it.

I do like the theme, I'm glad I could resurrect it, I even have a piano transcription, I like doing that for my pieces.

I wanted to arrange my Canon for strings, seems the most fitting considering I borrowed the theme.

Feelings written a lifetime ago.

I wrote this piece about 5 or so years ago, I was writing a series on grieving, this was titled anger originally.

Like many of my pieces I was afraid to title them what I actually wanted to title them (until now).

This was largely, because I was shamed and bullied by family into conforming to how they thought I should feel and think.

I wanted this piece to be named Hatred, because this is how I felt living in an abusive environment for 20 years. Hate.

Hate like anger is not an evil feeling, it's the body's emotional immune system and deserves to be heard and understood.

This was a very early piece, roughly 2017-2018. Seems like forever ago.

I initially wrote this for my first love. A floating experience if there ever was one lol.

I've been able to look on those memories of our friendship and relationship with fondness. I wrote this for her, a labor of passion. An illustration of my affection and experience we had at Curtis Institute. 

As with many of my pieces this one also shows how the environment made me feel, overwhelmed excited and scared. This was my first time traveling out of my home state by myself, being away from my family was amazing. I've never forgotten the feeling.

So this remastered version shall be resurrected and remain a tribute. A tribute to and for my first love.

I think I found out why I didn't want to listen to it, it was too comfortable for how I was feeling when I wrote it.

It wasn't having a hard time, I was.

A Brief Period of Madness | Eight Part Orchestra Op.1, No.6 Moderato C#m

This was an externalization pivotal personal death in my life.

It's a breakup song if you've ever heard one.

I actually repurposed this piece after I broke up with my first girlfriend.

For most people this would be no big deal, but, this break up was probably the single most consciously painful and likely one of the most important things I have ever experienced to this day. (May 2022)

If it wasn't for the pain, which I believe shocked me awake from my almost endless disassociation, I likely wouldn't have been able to eventually leave my abusive family situation and be free like I had dreamed since I was 10.

Her name was Elyse, and though this is a very difficult piece to listen to, I am forever grateful for the gift she unknowingly gave me.

I am glad I can appreciate it now and will never forget it.

Another Revamp. 

When I wrote this it was of my first compositions with StaffPad (really cool app btw), and It is made of pure excitement and joy of actually being able to write music by hand and hear it in real-time.

I probably wrote it in 2017.

Finally a more recent piece.

I wrote a lot of my works with an intense feeling of loneliness and melancholy, this one is no exception.

I was very alone at night with this piece, honestly this is something I never thought I would share.

It's one of those feelings of being alone when surrounded by people. 

These people were my family, they had left the house for over 8 hours and I think it was 4th of July.

I had no friends and even if I did wouldn't be allowed to hang out with them anyway, my siblings and I would never be allowed to be with our friends, in fact, one of my siblings was punished for it so I never bothered.

This piece is to commemorate the day I left my abusive family of origin.

I believe it was my birthday when I wrote this.

It took a while for the sadness to not taint this for me after I wrote it. 

Now I listen to this piece every March 28th at roughly 5pm. 

That was the day and time I left, the year was 2020, and I never looked back since.

I became free.
