10th of August 2015: it's been 10 years ago that we lost one of our best friends, Michaël. I’ve never felt worse than back then. 
 
Approximately 16 years ago, we started collecting and playing records with 6 friends.Talking about, listening to and playing records, was all we did in our spare time, that's how we discovered a mixtape of I.F.
 
Impressed, that's what we were by the music he mixed, so we started to look for all the the records he played in that mix. This is how our love for Italo Disco, Chicago House, Electro, Old-School Electro, Disco and all related music grew on us.
 
When we started DJ-ing at parties, we had to come up with our DJ-names. We didn’t want to pick names that where too serious, it just had to sounds catchy, that' s how Michaël came up with his alias, Michael Knight. Unfortunately, we weren’t that lucky to be able to enjoy his DJ-skills for a long time.
 
His impressive record collection was equally distributed among all friends.
With my share, I made a selection of 40 records and started recording a DJ-set in honor of Michaël Knight.
This results in a mix of roughly 20 records, combining all styles.

Jackin' As Before: in honor of Michael Knight

I started buying and spinning records in 1997 or 1998.
It all started with a love for real electro music. But already soon a mixtape of I-F came to my ear, in which he played Charlie - Space Woman. I instantly fell in love with this record and my love for Italo Disco started. Later this love expanded itself to Chicago House, Disco, Oldschool Electro, and all other quality dance music.

Somewhere in the beginning of my DJ career I earned the name, Gijs from Space' from some locals in a bar where I was resident DJ.
