For a long time I've been thinking of mixing some records that according to me define the real and true electro sound. Finally it is here.
It is no surprise that it contains a lot of Detroit electro records among which some Direct Beat, that for me is the label that summarizes the standard electro sound.
Don't get me wrong, I really love a lot of electro styles, from old school to new school, but I just wanted to make a mix that captures the TRUE ELECTRO SOUND

Space Plays: The True Electro Sound

I started buying and spinning records in 1997 or 1998.
It all started with a love for real electro music. But already soon a mixtape of I-F came to my ear, in which he played Charlie - Space Woman. I instantly fell in love with this record and my love for Italo Disco started. Later this love expanded itself to Chicago House, Disco, Oldschool Electro, and all other quality dance music.

Somewhere in the beginning of my DJ career I earned the name, Gijs from Space' from some locals in a bar where I was resident DJ.
