Wow, time flies! When I think it's been 6 years already... I remember as if it was yesterday, when on some random early autumn afternoon my good friend Jerome called me. "What are you up to in two weeks?", he asked. "Nothing in particular, why?" "We got a slot at CDV for you!" I think that's the words every passionate DJ of our small and precious cosmos of music enthusiasts likes to hear. :)

Two weeks later, arrived in Berlin, it was very special to me. Also because it was my friend Fabi's birthday additionally. This was also when I met my friend Mikhail aka Studnev. But besides the good vibrations between friends it was also kinda nerve wracking to me - playing at CDV the first time... exciting!

On the day of the event the weather was quite bad, it was end of September, so it was quite chilly for a night at CDV, and we were unsure of being able to open at all, as it was even raining in the early afternoon. 

A few hours later, as the weather had changed for good, Fabi, Chris, Mikhail, some friends and me were standing there, on the terrace of CDV, on a late and cool afternoon in September. First all by ourselves, excited what’s to come.

I started to play, I had the first slot and I had prepared some weird ambient music for the beginning. As I've been playing a bit I kinda sensed, that everybody, including myself, was a feeling bit tense and I felt that the weird music I was playing made the tension even stronger, haha. So I had a couple of drinks, and just let myself go, I tried to not think too much about what I was doing and just play from my heart to create a kinda loose and not to serious vibe with my music. 

And this is where this cut emerged. It's the third hour of my set, we all have had a couple of drinks, and I had the feeling that it was working out. Everybody seemed to relax and so did I. It's the part where I have the most emotions attached to. It's kinda weird and not heading to a certain direction, and that's what makes this cut so special to me, as I can hear I was not thinking too much, but surrendering to the music and the moment. 

In the end I think it all worked out great, the club was filled with smiling faces, all the DJs played great, a lot of friends showed up and I also met new friends - everybody seemed to have a good time. I remember it to be a very special night to me and I am greatful for the experience to CDV, my hosts Fabi & Chris, Mikhail and all the friends that showed up and generally to everybody who has been supporting me over the years!
