Ali, contávamos para todos os adultos presentes tudo o que havíamos feito durante o dia. Embora não parecesse, todos nos ouviam com atenção e respeito. Aquele era um exercício de participação na vida de nossa comunidade familiar.” Memórias de infância de um menino indígena que nos fala das tradições de seu povo Munduruku transmitidas pela narrativa oral nos momentos felizes quando, sentado na aldeia, no colo dos mais velhos ou ao pé da fogueira, ouvia histórias enquanto eles catavam piolhos em seus cabelos e lhe faziam carinhos na cabeça. O livro tem oito histórias, algumas delas são mitos, outras lendas dos espíritos da floresta e outras lições de vida ou narrativas de memórias das brincadeiras inocentes.

Sobre o autor: Daniel é índio da nação Munduruku. Formado em Filosofia, é mestrando em Antropologia Social na Universidade de São Paulo. Foi professor da rede estadual e particular de ensino e atuou como educador social de rua pela Pastoral do Menor de São Paulo. Esteve na Europa diversas vezes como convidado em conferências sobre a cultura indígena e ministrando oficinas culturais. É professor da Fundação Peirópolis e autor de Meu avô Apolinário, Coisas de Índio, Histórias de Índio e O Banquete dos Deuses, entre outros. Coordena na Editora Fundação Peirópolis a Coleção Memórias Ancestrais, série de livros infantis que resgata mitos e lendas das diversas nações indígenas brasileiras.

***This came out before web reviews, however, IMHO, it's one of the most badass and technically accomplished mixes of its time.

The pic is an actual scan, the Cream logo is embossed and the light gold and gray print doesn't show up very well, but it's Cream for  sure... :-)
