Golden (feat. Grand Khai)

"A Wonderful Time" is the first Summer 2019 music offering from NYC based producer Aire Atlantica, featuring "What I Want (ft. Livvy Nicole)," and "Best Side (ft. Lando Chill)." The A-side is a bright, summer pop tune with hints of electronic and dancehall, while the B-side is a moody yet energetic take on a summer night-drive moment.

The concept for "A Wonderful Time" has been one year in the making, and is a warm welcome to the summer. After releasing his previous EP "Etiquette" in October 2018, as well as Red Love in March 2019, Joe (Aire) has been rebuilding and growing since a difficult and personal year of his life. "A Wonderful Time" is a duo of songs that welcomes good times, happiness, family and friends, and finally being able to say goodbye to past hardships and roadblocks. 

"Releasing these two songs and being at a really great point in my life while learning from the past is totally where I'm at," says Aire. "Coming out of a dark season on top and being able to reflect that in my music is an amazing feeling."

"What I Want" features UK artist and songwriter Livvy Nicole, and Best Side features LA's Lando Chill with additional production by Eric Bard. "Working with the collaborators on 'A Wonderful Time' was a great experience and both features nailed the vibe of the project," says Aire.

With a title inspired by legendary photographer Slim Aarons, who's work highlighted a life of happiness and beauty, one can conclude "A Wonderful Time" is about the return to a positive place in life and the start of a strong summer of music from Aire Atlantica, which can be heard in the selections of this two-song pack.

Excited to announce The Outlaw Ocean Music Project, which is an innovative collaboration that melds music with journalism. I’ve enjoyed being a part of this project with @ian_urbina.

My upcoming release “No Oceans Unturned” inspired by his book “The Outlaw Ocean” is out now everywhere: theoutlawoceanmusic.com 

I want my music to convey a more serious tone to reflect the consequences of lawlessness at sea. I want my music to complement the book's darker, melancholy moods. Interestingly, however, the chapter that resonated with me the most was “The Rusty Kingdom.” This chapter’s central topic of one family declaring its own country in the sea, Sealand, was in itself silly and playful, which I appreciate. The chapter highlights the absurdity of the issue while revealing the various social and economic consequences that arise when no legal authority exists to police these sorts of stories.  
 
Because this book opened my eyes to the “anything goes” mindset of The Outlaw Ocean, I want each of my tracks in the EP to mirror the desire for more awareness and enforcement in international waters.
