Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown in the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a label from the land of the Ancient Greeks: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music trip outside traditional paths with driving grooves and polyphonic structures that are seeking dancers to Dionysian highs and places never seen before.

The native name of Greece in Modern Greek is Ελλάδα. The corresponding form in Ancient Greek and conservative formal Modern Greek is Ἑλλάς (Hellas). This is the source of the English alternative name Hellas, which is mostly found in archaic or poetic contexts today. The Greek adjectival form ελληνικός is sometimes also translated as Hellenic and is often rendered in this way in the formal names of Greek institutions, as in the official name of the Greek state, the Hellenic Republic. The English names Greece and Greek are derived, via the Latin Graecia and Graecus, from the name of the Graeci (Graikós), who were among the first ancient Greek tribes to settle Magna Graecia in southern Italy. The term is possibly derived from the Proto-Indo-European root "to grow old", more specifically from Graea (ancient city), said by Aristotle to be the oldest in Greece, and the source of colonists for the Naples area. This is the first compilation in “The Path To Hedonism” series and is dedicated to Greece. Ready for your next adventure? Behind the enigmatic Sealean stands the infamous Schlepp Geist, accompanied by producer Alexander Brandl and singer SoundQ. Known for his dynamic melodies and pulsating basslines as Schleppi, Sealean embark on an expedition to yet another realm of electronic music. JASON CORE

Jason Core was born in Cádiz, Spain. He grew up listening to synth-pop and new wave hits, spending hours in front of his parents radio. In the 90s he got seduced by house music when this style became popular in Spain. Since 1994, when his parents bought him his first PC and he discovered the oldest "trackers" to make electronic music, Jason Core hasn't stopped researching and learning everything about digital composing and mixing.

He studied intermediate level in classical guitar, this helped to improve his music composing skills. He is passionate about analogue synths and, above all, every sound that could remind him of his childhood. He has released tracks in various genres of electronic music but his favorite one is somewhere in between Synth pop, Italo disco and Synthwave.

JASON CORE & SANDRY SANZ

Jason Core met Sandry Sanz through her husband, who was a colleague of his in Seville. At that time, Jason Core was desperately looking for a female voice, something complicated in Spain where electronic music is not mainstream and, consequently, there aren't many singers. Sandry Sanz tried out a track by Jason Core and that's when he was hooked on her vocal power, her tuning, her mastery of tempo and her adaptability to any genre, always giving her personal touch and contributing with great vocal ideas.

SANDRY SANZ

Sandry Sanz was born in Seville, Spain. From an early age, Sandry Sanz demonstrated her talent for singing and at only 2 years old she was intoning perfectly the songs of her childhood. In the choir of the religious school where she studied she was chosen as a soloist for standing out among the other students. As a teenager, she participated in several records of religious congregations, getting a taste of the world of studio recording, contributing ideas for choirs and even on the musical basis. At the age of 19, while studying, she started working at parties and events, gaining more experience in the world of live music. 
 
At the age of 26 he stopped working in music and focused on her career and her family, but she has never stopped singing and trying new musical styles because she never refuses to learn. For this reason, a few months ago she built a studio in her own home.
 
She is influenced by great divas such as Gloria Stefan, Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, Whitney Houston and Céline Dion. In addition, she adapts to various musical styles, having listened to everything from Rap & Black to Hard Rock and boleros.

feat_E and Rabiat are two producers from northern Germany. These guys are in so many different ways connected, you can also claim them as relatives. The two producers created a special style of music, which is a combination of dark-disco, synth-wave, influenced by feat_E and classic minimaltechno, psytech influences by Rabiat. Over a longer period of time, they founded an EP with bouncing, funky tracks and delivered a punchy, pressure-filled package. The „End of Time“ EP includes three originals and a remix by „Der Eva“ a resident of the Hamburg-based record label slowpunch. Many thanks to Kabelkiste for the great mastering.
