I also wanted a mix of this song that was just like the original song called C Jam. I had a feeling that organ mixed with the piano would work, and it did - Abel did an incredible job augmenting the piano melody and creating a cool solo as well. I left one of Steve Giddings guitar solos in here as it just was too good to leave out of any version of this song and it added a nice contrast to the organ and piano. I didn't mention Rafael before but his bass really popped against the Hammond Organ creating a nice funky solo section and his bass playing throughout the song was perfect and much better than the basic keyboard bass part that I would have laid down.

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away, there was a small group of music-loving aliens who decided to live among humans, blending in, absorbing their musical art, and trying to contribute with their own.😜
On a planet Earth plagued by wars, hatred, climate change, and junk food, with 99 percent of the wealth held by just 1 percent of humanity, these somewhat alienated aliens one day discovered that even the dark can be beautiful.
They discovered The Beautiful Dark (https://soundcloud.com/thebeautifuldark), simply Carl to his friends, living on a beautiful island not far from the chaos of the old continent, the noble Ireland.
So this little bunch of aliens with their questionably produced music decided that yes, absolutely, they had to at least try to pay tribute to that Earth artist who felt anything but Earthbound in his noble intentions.
They just had to do it. Especially after dear Carl helped ease the pain of our guitarist’s clumsy fall down the stairs with his poetry, music, and photography (she’s fine, don’t worry ). 😂

So here is our tribute to the awesome Carl. It’s a humble offering compared to his talent and refined art, but considering it was written, played, arranged, sung, produced, and mixed in just two days, it’s kind of a small miracle.

But we just had to drop this instrumental too (OK, to be honest, it was our nerdy keyboard player Mauro who absolutely insisted on it), a little tribute to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Commodore Amiga (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amiga)! 🎂💾
On July 23, 1985, the legendary Commodore Amiga was unveiled at New York’s Lincoln Center, with the iconic Andy Warhol as its godfather and the fantastic Debbie Harry from Blondie adding star power to the event.
The Amiga was a beast for its time: 8-bit samples, thousands of colors (32 out of 4096 at first, then 256+ with AGA), and the legendary HAM mode.
A machine that changed the game and inspired this track.

Usually i post fresh improv, faster made tune. This one is different. Two years of mixing, mastering, getting dozens of basslines bumping to each other in a slo-mo Pogo dance. Had a blast producing it in Ableton with Arturia synths and IK Multimedia tools. 

Having said that, thats a rule, Fender Strat tipsy guitar noodle improv comes almost as-is, as it happened one good day. You can spend endless time mixing, polishing, growing your skills, but if something just happened - let it be. Power of music is in the improvisation and art of impression.
