Within the span of a year, Tallinn-based club night series and creative collective Shelter has managed to rally dozens of electronic musicians from all corners of the world to an unexpected meeting point by the Baltic Sea. By curating club nights that showcase local talents aside some of the brightest minds in electronic music today, Shelter has undeniably played a significant role in revitalizing Tallinn’s club scene.

More importantly, Shelter uses its platform to shed light on some of the worst humanitarian crises currently plaguing our planet. Beyond covering event costs, ticket sales proceeds from Shelter Showcase events have been directed to organizations who provide resources to those in need, including the Ottawa Black Diaspora Coalition in Ukraine and the Rebuilding Alliance in Palestine.

To celebrate 1 year of building bridges between communities and incubating forward-thinking electronic music, Shelter presents Feyrûse: a compilation album featuring 17 tracks by an intercontinental melting pot of musicians, majority of whom have graced the dancefloors of Shelter.

Feyrûse aims to capture increasing unity within the global electronic music community. The musical styles represented on the album are as varied as its diverse cast of artists, ranging from purpose-built hybrid club to serene and blissful melodic rituals.

Troisième volet d'une trilogie de compiles sorties sur Olga Productions, après "DÉLITEMENT" et "Ruines", ", ' ' · , sur les cendres" clot le cycle et l'arc narratif des trois volets, qui reflète l'évolution de la décadence au renouveau, de la désolation à la redécouverte.

We wanted to work around the new rituals, journeys, and ways of celebration—the soundtrack to emerging from the ashes and discovering fresh avenues for revelry and exploration, embracing the novel expressions of joy, the rhythms of resilience.

This release marks the end of a trilogy on Olga Productions, following "DÉLITEMENT" and "Ruines."
As the final installment in this cycle, ", ' ' · , sur les Cendres" completes the narrative arc, offering a musical journey that reflects the evolution from decay to renewal, from desolation to rediscovery.

Death is certain, life is not. And both are available at our supermarket. 

With everything that’s happening in the world, one must wonder if there’s breaking free from it all or should they just stop trying to make sense of it. It’s a choice and it isn’t — depending on the circumstances one finds themselves in. What seemed senseless beginning to take form and what had always been solid shatters into pieces: home, family, plans, love, identity, freedom, sex, philosophy, technology, making-it, bank account, self, traumas, patterns, overcoming them, residence, conscience, morals, vodka, values, vulnerability — they have equal chances to serve as safe place or jail, wake or deliverance, life or death — go figure.

In its first release, Patar flips the table — and the cards, and the chips with it. No stake is too high to even mention it. One track and 7 versions of it, as an attempt to transgress from confusion to clarity — or maybe the other way around. Here’s an artistic experiment for you: do not brief, do not declare, do not obey, and do not fight — or do. And see what comes out of it. 

Qurgōn is a pit grave. There are dead horses in it, dead people, dead weapons, and vessels. It stinks and it’s scary. It’s a place where nothing will ever be born, or will it? It requires nothing, silently craving admiration. It only ever serves a collective memory of all the heroes and the blood-thirsty freaks alike. They are one, after all. It only is to be unbothered, looked at in awe and disgust; to be a break out on the smooth surface of the steppe’s ass.  

One artist made a call, seven responded — to dig to the bottom of that pit or touch upon its stony texture.

Here’s another experiment for you: renounce all styles and genres and go with it. Who cares, anyway? Gloomy and epic, repetitive and bass-y — oh, always bass-y. Percussion-thick, yelling, obnoxious, rich. The sound of dying, finding peace, losing it again, and returning back to the hassle. The all-penetrating sound of a baby’s cry and the last exhale of a fighter knocked out for good. Ferocious sirens needling through the layers and layers of dead horses and weapons, clanking, squelching — resonating. With the horrors and hope. With memories and fantasies. With clinging to what seems to be it — and letting go. 

Nothing is certain anymore, yet everything is clear.

There’s room for a tribal apocalypse (“War Drums For Children”), broken acid techno (“The Most Complex Thing” recorded together with Elena Sizowa, a Belarussian DJ and producer) and some spooky yet magical synth landscapes (“Take A Deep Breath & Dive Into The Bin”). What can be heard throughout the whole mini-album is the excellent sound that is not afraid of dirt, noise and “sound waste” that the title refers to.

FOQL is a polish experimental dance music producer and founder of Oramics collective that focuses on empowerment of women, non-binary and queer people on electronic music scene and also on promoting communities and artists from East and Central Europe.

She is releasing her new album „Dumpster Diving Know-How“ on 15th of March through Atlanta based label CGI Records. The label specializes in every imaginable mutation of house, techno and experimental music and you can find releases from names like Prostitutes, Osheyack or Russell E. L. Butler in their catalogue. We can definitely recommend adding their name to a list of interesting labels and if you do not have such a list yet, we recommend to start it now. Life is much more comfortable with lists like that.

We are premiering a magical track „Take A Deep Breath & Dive Into The Bin“ from the album that is not afraid to wrap sound in dirt and beauty in decay. The track almost sounds as if Coil recorded a captivating soundtrack to losing consciousness. And we love it.
