Jayrah was born and raised in Long Beach California, by single mother Kitra Williams who was a singer/songwriter signed to Motown records at the time. As a young child, she carried him on her stomach while recording for long hours. Through his mother’s guidance Jayrah has been singing since he was able to talk and writing songs from the age of  6 years old. During that time unbeknownst to her, she became a young Jayrah's biggest musical influence. As he grew older he drew inspiration from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight and Musiq Soulchild and others.

Jayrah's music has been described as innovative to RnB. He has been charming audiences with his great personality and unique progressive sound. He has made his mark in the entertainment industry as a talented songwriter/producer. He has collaborated with various well known writers and producers such as, Eric Bellinger (Chris Brown, Usher, The Game) The Stereotypes (Justin Bieber, Danity Kane, Ne-Yo) and No-ID (Kanye West, Jhene, Jay-Z) and other top ten Billboard and Grammy Award winning producers. To date he has placements on Usher, Mila J and Eric Bellinger as well as success overseas in the Korean and Asian markets. He has written one of the biggest songs in all of Asia in the last 12 years for the highly successful boy band EXO. Jayrah creates songs and melodies that express the beautiful moments of life we all can relate to. He has established a lane of his own and continues to find new ways to cultivate his abilities!

His drive to succeed ,humbleness and willingness to learn indicates that he is someone to keep an eye on as for the future of RnB.
