Kaitzy has been DJing since she was 8 years old, drawing on a love of music influenced by her family. 

Now at the age of 17, she is an up-and-coming house and techno DJ. Kaitzy’s musical interests range from 90s classic acts such as The KLF and The Chemical Brothers to new stars like Hannah Laing and Charlotte De Witte. She gains inspiration from the excellent female DJs and producers that are coming to the fore and aspires to follow in their footsteps. Even at her young age, 

Kaitzy has already played twice at Lancaster’s Highest Point Festival and is a regular DJ at many of Lancaster’s up-and-coming club nights.

 She has received support and advice from Radio 1’s Sarah Story and Sonny Wharton. She is really excited to play out at more festivals this year and is looking forward to meeting loads of new people with a similar passion for this music.

Dave Shooter is a live electronic artist who goes by the moniker, Guerrilla Biscuits, and runs a fantastic night in Lancaster called Hymns for Robots. 

Dave talks about growing this experimental scene in the city, and how he's discovered a UK wide network of passionate musicians (some of the loveliest and most supportive in the music world he attests).

In true Doodle style, Andy was another kindred spirit we met on a night out in Manchester!
Having recently re-ignited his love of DJing, Andy knows what it takes to get people on the dance-floor. Here he embraces the Doodle party-vibe dipping into his bag of eclectic but infectious grooves, blending Balearic, indie dance, nu disco, electronic funk,Italo and acid infused house to create an irresistible and uplifting set of chunky beats, circling pianos, hypnotic loops and subtle (and not so subtle) melodic hooks that will have even the hardiest wallflowers peeling away from the bar ready to throw some shapes!

"This mix is a bunch of tunes old and new that no matter how many times I play them make me smile and want to dance.

"I wanted to put together something musically that reflects my eclectic tastes, but that still packs a dance floor-focused sound. There’s so much great music out there that crosses the genres but that work so well together. And I like to blur the boundaries where I can serving up everything from wonky slow-mo chuggers to driving melodic pumpers, having a little fun along the way and hopefully leave people wanting more!

"Ok yes… the world is sicker than ever, but that doesn't mean we get to stop.

The past months have seen long overdue eruptions of sadness and rage directed at bloated, militarized, racist police forces and iniquitous government spending around the world. The puzzle pieces are assembling and fresh eyes are examining corrupt practices that Black & brown communities have criticized for decades. It is time to defund the police and invest in communities that have been systemically attacked.

For the third volume of Physically Sick, we are focusing on local efforts and raising money for Equality For Flatbush, an organization that has been fighting racist police abuse and gentrification since 2013. Equality For Flatbush mobilizes direct aid when necessary, recently ensuring Brooklyn residents have groceries and supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Techno, house, and all the sounds at the root of electronic dance music, are born from Black communities. Dance music can only be sustained by an inclusive joy for the marginalized and the dispossessed. As we rally in support of Black lives and the struggles against police violence and inequality, it is the responsibility of every person, from DJs to dancers, not to let things slide back to business as usual.

Physically Sick 3 is a fundraising compilation from Discwoman & Allergy Season curated by Frankie Decaiza Hutchinson, Umfang, and Physical Therapy. All proceeds from the compilation will go to Equality For Flatbush. Out Thursday July 3rd, 2020 and available exclusively through Bandcamp. "

Erlo

I came to DJing later than most. I visited Ibiza when I was 23, saw Lisa Lashes play and immediately decided I was going to learn to DJ. Hard house wasn't my really thing but she definitely inspired me that night. I got back home, bought the cheapest set of belt-drive decks I could find and taught myself to DJ. 
I love house in all its forms. I am drawn to tech-house beats predominantly, and am a sucker for anything with ravey vibes and acid house influences. But I pride myself in being able to craft awesome warm-up sets too, reading the crowd and always having one foot on the dancefloor. So I can go more downtempo, melodic, or minimal too.
A few highlights so far...
* Becoming Skiddle's resident DJ in 2010 after playing at The Wickerman Festival
* Warming up for Steve Lawler and James Lavelle 
* DJing at The Warehouse Project
* Producing a track that was played by Danny Rampling whilst I was in the club
* Interviewing Graeme Park.
