When I first started making beats I used the game and took full advantage of what it had to offer me. It was limited in many ways, but also had some powerful tools in it. You could sample with it, you could play sounds in a piano roll. Add effects to your sounds and so much more. It was a great start and helped me to understand how to loop things and cut samples the right way. I eventual went on to make my 1st full length album titled: The Alpha Theory. Most of the beats on that album were made using MTV Music Generator.
