Based at Madar 39 Mina Zayde… I have started TOKYOLISTENING with a nostalgic warm liberated feeling I have about “community music listening” like I used to do in college days in Boston, and later in Tokyo with my friends, and music professionals from very broad background. I missed the time when music was more central to my life, and how I felt when I gathered with friends centered around good music on good audio setting. 

If you ever been to Tokyo, you know Tokyo is such a city with auditory sensations, with board genres of music and musicians exists and are embraced with reverence & merges naturally - city has the largest number of record store in the world too! I feel these independent music spirits feeds the city’s musical vibe..where there is intersection of independent and mainstream. 

Be it at various venues, numerous record shops, train stations, pedestrian, department stores, cafes, and even from a hot water kettle, there are so much sound in the city. It is TOKYOLiSTENING. Here I upload my mixes which makes me feel like in “that” time when music was central. ❤️
