To celebrate the release of a new batch of mixes, here's a free download courtesy of DJ Spen & Teddy Douglas of Basement Boys Records.
I first heard NYC pioneer DJ Kenny Carpenter's remix of this and was immediately inspired.
Kenny had recorded completely new music for his version, and kindly let me mess around with it.
I added some of my Disco drums, brought in virtuoso Alex Finkin to work a little magic on a real piano, a little break here, a little break there, and voila !
When it comes to Gospel House no one does it better than Jasper Street Company. We all hope you will enjoy this alternate acapella mix and help other people find out about these great artists, so please spread the word about it !
