Jules Gimbrone is a composer, performer and artist who now lives in
Los Angeles, CA.  With collaborator and choreographer Jen Rosenblit,
Jules received an 2012 Emerging Artists Commission from ISSUE Project
Room and performed Pastor Pasture in May 2012. Jules composed,
co-directed and performed the music/film/dance project WREST, which
began in 2010 with a grant from the Princess Grace Foundation. The
WREST album, a recording of Jules’ 7-piece electro-acoustic ensemble,
was released through PACK Projects in the summer of 2012. Previously
Jules was a Brooklyn Arts Council Re-Grant recipient in 2010, and
received the Paul Robeson Fund for Independent Media in 2008. Jules is
currently enrolled at CalARTS pursuing an MFA in
Performance/Composition.
