Hurt So Bad was one of Tom Moulton’s early mixes, but sadly only came out as a 7" single. As well as Tom’s clean, polished style of mixing, it’s Larry Washington's signature frantic conga groove that firmly stamps it with the Philly Sound seal.
I did two mixes of the song using only the original recorded tracks. Featured here is a snippet of my full vocal version, more true to Tom’s original, but with a little newly edited groove towards the end. The other "Crooze Groove" version uses only this part and is only available on Get Down With The Philly Sound Vinyl Part 1.
