Stripping the original of its distant vocals and gritty dissonance that characterize the band, Midnight Conspiracy make the track their own with their signature synth-heavy italo sound. MC's first Crystal Castles effort, a spaced out re-imagining of the indie classic "Crimewave", reached the #2 spot on Hype Machine's most popular chart--TWICE. The song joined the ever-growing list of Midnight Conspiracy's other successful offerings, including a dreamy dubstep re-imagining of Esser's pop anthem "Headlock", which was featured on BBC Radio 1 on the Kissy Sell Out Show, and an italo-banger version of Chromeo's "Night by Night", which also reached the Top 5 of Hype Machine's most popular charts twice.
