We enjoyed a reviewer referring to this track as a 'synth crooner' and we also completely cherished and tuned in the work of Julee Cruise while creating this track, and were stunned that she died the week of its release. 

Night Moves is a trip into 2062, where a nuclear storm is endlessly roaring outside the window, and a single thirty-something A.I. House Bot, in kitchen apron and platinum blonde hair is burning the dinner and swirling on the kitchen linoleum in the smoke with implanted memories of the long-lost dancefloor. Alexa burning down the house.

This instrumental is inspired to the sound of the eighties. I kept the electric bass quite high in the mix, adding some chorus effect over 200Hz to enhance the sound of the string.
I used several tracks of Strat to create the main texture of the composition, using arpeggios and strummed parts through chorus and delay.
The drums are programmed and based on the Downbeat Kit available for AKAI MPC here: https://www.mpc-samples.com/product.php/291/the-downbeat-kit/. 
The drum samples are organized in round robin groups to give a natural feel to the drums part.
