Started this like an hour ago. None of it is even remotely mixed or mastered, and the guitar playing is sloppy. Just an idea! Enjoy!

Eight (Progressive Metal WIP)

Rancor

All day long I'm dragging
fools gold into my cave.
With a spiteful will, I'm crafting
splendor for my grave.

A million charming lights,
hidden and out of sight.

With one final cry
It will all fade away.

Rev:
I want to rebuild the sun
with the embers
of my never-ending rage.
I just want to ignite the sun
with my rancor
high above in a rusted cage.

I stack the alleged treasure
under cover, under pressure
to a wall of smoke and mirrors
until a sun emerges

And my eyes feast on the alluring light of pure brilliance and glory

With one final cry
It will all fade away.
