Leonski was born in Switzerland but moved in his very early 20s to Berlin where he spent quite a few years, followed then by Mexico, where he’s still based at the moment.
Through travels and nightlife experiences around the globe, his sound is much inspired by disco, afro & latin music, blues and deeper house elements which reflects in his sets and own productions.

A brief story about Some Out Of None as an artist, also goes by the name of ''Yoeri''. Musically raised by the art of bboying better known as breakin/breakdance. Besides loving the process of creating he also collects vinyl and practices the art of dj-ing daily. Since early days he felt passionate about music and how it connects people. Around his teens, he got his first turntables and mixer and started recording mixes through tape decks. Shortly after that he built his own DJ booth with a friend. From there he started collecting music and building a music library for his own listening pleasure.

In the years after he started with bboying'/breakdance and found out about this whole movement and culture. He delved further into currents and influences and got to know a different kind of music. As a dancer he went into organizing dance events and making music. At these activities and meeting many new people, he discovered House music in its purest form. Fascinated by the Chicago and Detroit sounds he got inspired by four to the floor music.

In terms of a musical spectrum he actually moves in all sorts of directions. What is important to Yoeri is that it generates energy, emotion and pureness at all times. In Yoeri's opinion music should uplift you. You might recognize this energy in his music.

Hailing from Koszalin in Poland, Das Komplex is undoubtedly an artist of many talents - a full time Architect by trade, he has released material on Father And Son Records and Tapes label and also offered up the extolled and coveted 6th pressing on the STEP imprint back in August 2015 - a record that sold out rapidly after hitting the shelves.

Not much else is known about the mysterious man, except that this past June he returned to Catz n' Dogz vinyl only STEP platform with 8 disco inspired cuts and his first foray into long player territory with "All For Love". With that LP available now, we recruited Das Komplex to provide our latest exclusive mix. Chock full of originals this is an hour+ of fine grooves for your mid week blues.

Brazilian Disco Boogie Funk House Afro 70'S & 80'S & Reworks

Set fazendo um passeio pela Disco, Boogie, Soul, Funk, House e Afro,Brasileiras, especialmente Brazilian Boogie em versões editadas ou Rework, remix de Músicas do final de 70'S e início de 80'S, onde algumas eram hits e outras desconhecidas.

O Boogie compreendeu o período do final de 70'S e início de 80', o que chamamos de Pós Disco, e tem laços estreitos com a DISCO o que faz as vezes confundi-los.

Selos Britânicos apostam no Soul Brasileiros dos anos 70, resgatando assim raras gravações do Samba Funk, da Disco, Funk e do Soul Brasileiro, fazendo do Funk Brasileiro, único.Isso permitiu que muitos Djs incluissem em seus sets.O som sempre bem tropical, uma fusão de sons com misturas, e que hoje se proliferou para o mundo.


Naquela época surgiam dois grandes compositores e produtores , Robson Jorge & Lincoln Olivetti, duas lendas. Fizeram um Projeto com grandes músicos, trazendo o que há de melhor na musicalidade brasileira, fazendo com que os Djs redescobrissem, levando para pista. Licoln Olivetti fez arrranjos para nomes de cantores importante da Música Brasileira. Um cara que normalizou, digamos assim, a música Brasileira, trazendo um nível de qualidade comparada com a música estrangeira, tanto na forma de compor, como os arranjos impecáveis, tonando-o um mestre, um verdadeiro gênio, que contribuiu sem dúvida para o Brazilian Boogie e Brazilian Funk. Serviu de influência musical para muitos. 

Outro grande mestre do Jazz Funk do Brasil que não poderíamos esquecer é o Azymuth com seus solos instrumentais e o groove forte em suas produções, também a BAnda Black Rio,  com seus Boogies sofisticados, dentre outros que se fôssemos citar iria ser longo esse texto.

De uns tempo para cá a Boogie Brasileira tomou força, e hoje pesquisando, notamos vários sets com rítmos brasileiros de uma perspectiva universal. No meu set, reunir músicas, editadas, re-editas ou rework e remix,colocando mais peso nas músicas com batidas eletrônicas, mais arranjos, versões extremamente ousadas e fascinantes das mentes criativas dos produtores. 

Nas minhas extremas pesquisas, vir que a Disco tá forte, e têm muitos Djs Produtores com Edits ou Rework, remix, dos funk,Soul, Disco, dando mais peso nas músicas e voltando a reviver essa época. Vale ressaltar que dezenas de amantes ainda ficam hipnotizados pelas músicas, onde o objetivo é fazer a pista de dança no mundo afora.

O que gosto de fazer é mostrar o meu conhecimento musical e passar isso para o público e mostrar que músicas boas não tem idade. Eu gosto de Músicas, sem me rotular, eu escuto e a partir do meu feeeling, naquilo que eu acredito, eu faço meus sets.
