I write and perform folk, country and blues inspired music. You can catch me solo, and as one third of folk trio Nightingales Watch.

My album ‘Most everything’ was released on 1 May 2022. It was recorded at Polyphonic Recording in Stroud with Lukas Drinkwater. I’m delighted that Lukas lent his musical talents to the tracks, along with the excellent Aaron Catlow on Violin. 

In past years I played as part of a three piece ‘Ebbing Tides’ and as a duo with Rachel Foster.  Together we played at folk clubs, festivals and music venues around the Bristol area. 

Before that I wrote and played solo , and with Joseph in various guises including Redkite (not to be confused with other bands of the same name that have come since!)  Mostly playing around London at places such as the 12 Bar Club (Denmark St – now sadly departed), The Green Note and various other venues like Barfly, too many to mention.

And even further back, in the late 90’s/ early 2000’s I was playing, writing, gigging and running music nights around Brighton. I played my first ever gig at The Greys on Southover Street, after harassing the nice man that ran it at the time until he relented (thanks!)

I am working on tidy playlists..there is one for all my song-a-week and then other tidy playlists will follow ..it like a thrift shop of my songs..you gonna have to have a good rummage ..a great place for a demo  ( there is no such thing as a demo) is what I say. One day I will orgnise into tidy playlists. good luck - I will put the kettle one
