Inspired by artists like Gitkin, Quantic, Khruangbin and Lucho Bermudez, Peddabá seeks to make music that draws upon Calypso, dessert, dub, reggae and psychedelic music.

Why I fell in love with making music in the first place: spread the message of one love, and make people dance.

Washington Duke is New Orleans based drummer and recording artist. Born and raised in New York, Washington moved south in 2021, where he plays locally and tours internationally with Brooklyn born artist, Gitkin. With influences steeped in Delta Blues, early Rock & Roll, New Orleans Funk and R&B, and modern Jazz, Washington’s musical sensibilities are clear in his playing and his creative approach. His debut album, In Time, releases November 22, 2024, in which Washington taps into his love of early sixties Jazz.
