Another episode of Vamilienfa†er’s »Elevating / Escalating« on the waves of Mutant Radio – this month with some new music sent in by Ian Medina, from the trio »Sanchez« and the contrabass player »Giuseppe Bottigliéri«, as well as three exclusive live recordings from an in-store concert with Victoria Shen and Audrey Chen at the Staalplaat Record Shop Berlin, that took place on October 3rd 2021. Of course the show features another guest-mix from the Staalplaat CD back stock, this time by the Berlin/Bucharest DJ Dokia.

A release that speaks of belonging through the filter of distance. Roots and identity as the starting point of a journey that wants to go far away, discovering new sounds and images, where to redraw the perimeter of the present outside the imposed reserves. "NeoMelodic Open Structures vol.2 " is a work in balance between musical tradition and sound experimentation, a constant questioning of the expressive potential of sound, of the instrument itself and of the different possibilities of organization of the compositional material. Seven tracks for Double bass prepared, tell the journey, musical and human, of Giuseppe Bottiglieri, from the sea of Torre Annunziata to the echoes of the "whales of Tempelhof", from the shadow of the "Vesuvien" to the decadence of Neukolln. A world of uncompromising sounds that draw unreal and present landscapes, suspended between the concreteness of the sound objects created and the dystopia of imposed reality.

mix for Mutant Radio, digging even deeper into late 1970s and early 1980s German obscure
Schlager, disco and wave. Feline companion Muzi liked the mix (as you could see in the image).

Witches Are Back collective released a 13 tracks compilation to support the campaign “Nessuna da sola - sostieni le sexworker” promoted by the transfeminist collective Ombre Rosse and a wide network of pro-sexworkers associations.

The original tracks are donated by 13 artists, and express many shades of the witches' sound: from noise to industrial, from techno to acid house, from dancefloor oriented tracks to electronic experiments.

The purpose is collecting funds to help sexworkers in Italy during the COVID19 emergency.
In Italy many "non conventional" jobs have no real income (mostly black money) and are invisible for the italian government. So they have naturally no access to any kind of social assistance benefit. For the sexworkers already living in precarity and difficult conditions, this has become a real humanitarian crisis.
