Max Gandalf, based in Rome, begins his non-conventional trip in electronic music in 2001 as a party-maker  giving birth to the eXpander project of which he becomes one of its musical references.
As a DJ and organizer he participates in hundreds of events at clubs, ‘centri sociali’ (self-run occupied spaces which organize parties, exhibitions, workshops etc) and open-air parties in Italy and abroad.
Out of the variety of parties created, other than the unbreakable  “eXpander” which has reached its 15th year, there also are the “Pink Freud” ones, the “ESCamotage” ones, and, naturally, the magical “Natural Born Chiller” ones at Lake Martignanao.
His happily eclectic sounds offer DJ sets which vary from deep progressive house to the more psychedelic trance always creating a melting beat capable of unmistakingly sweeping all types of dance-floors! at the moment he is resident @SHANTI , famous psy party in ROMe and he plays every edition in great electronic festival named WAO

 Max Gandalf inizia il suo viaggio non-convenzionale nel mondo dell’elettronica nel 2001 come party-maker dando vita al progetto eXpander di cui ne diventa uno dei riferimenti musicali.
Come DJ e organizzatore partecipa a centinaia di eventi dividendosi tra clubs, centri sociali e open air in Italia e all’estero.
Tra i vari parties ideati ricordiamo oltre agli inossidabili “eXpander” anche i “Pink Freud”, gli “ESCamotage” e, naturalmente, i magici “Natural Born Chiller” sul lago di Martignano.
Il suo sound allegramente eclettico  propone dj-sets che vanno dalla deep progressive-house  fino alla trance più psichedelica creando sempre un melting-beat capace di trascinare inconfondibilmente ogni tipo di dance-floor.

Indy-Kha is a project based on an idea of Matteo Pennacchi a young man that lives in Rome’s suburb. Matteo Pennacchi has always been fond of electronic music, this, since he was a teenager and he started nightclubbing in Rome. At that time, his nightclubbing wasn’t focused on the clubs that played techno and minimal music in Rome, since he was looking for a music sound that wasn’t mainstream. Around 2005, he fell immediately in love with psytrance and in those years he also attended the tekno scene in Rome. A few years later, in 2009, his interest grew in psychedelic music.  In the following years, Matteo Pennacchi started his experience in DJ mixing and in 2013 he became a member of Free Spirit Foundation, that enabled him to take part as a DJ at the biggest psytrance event in Rome. Him was in that time a DJ in many clubs of Rome’s underground scene, such as The Zoo Bar, Acrobax, Circolo Degli Illuminati, Brancaleone, Blackmoon festival and many more. Indy-Kha is a journey through drums and heavy repeated basslines with dark and electronic synths. The sound is compact and liquid too, and it wants to express all the several energies of the night. The beat  is not so fast (145-150 beats per minute) in order to enable the listeners to appreciate also the dark and darkprogressive elements that are present in the sound. All this is aimed to offer a complete experience  in electronic music.

Dj, producer and event organizer
of the Italian underground scene of the last 10 years.
His selections cross the electronic from the downbeat, 
passing through Deep Techno, Neo Trance, 
up to touch Melodic Techno sounds,
and modulating his mixing technique, both with vinyl and digital.

His productions, sometimes introspective or repetitive,
instead they deviate from the techno style
which has mainly characterized its path as a DJ,
and  mostly assemble downbeat and glitch suggestions
to wider and melodic atmospheres with warm and biting synths and classic grand pianos,
to wrap everything in simple but hypnotic metric structures.

To complete and integrate musical productions,
to describe or visually suggest its sound atmospheres,
usually accompanies the performance with live mixing projections,
result of the journey of Vjing that has always fascinated him.

Le sue selezioni attraversano l' elettronica dal downbeat, 
passando per Deep Techno , Neo Trance 
fino a toccare sonorità Melodic Techno,

Le sue produzioni, a tratti introspettive o ripetitive,
invece si discostano dallo stile techno 
che ha contraddistinto prevalentemente il suo percorso di Dj,

ad atmosfere più ampie e melodiche 
con synth caldi e graffianti e grand piano classici,
per avvolgere il tutto dentro strutture metriche semplici ma ipnotiche.

per descrivere o suggerire visivamente le sue atmosfere sonore, 
accompagna  usualmente la performance con proiezioni live mixing,
risultato del percorso di Vjing che lo ha sempre appassionato.

Born on February 18th , the first track he mixed for fun in 97 with DANIELE FRANZON, was at Alpheus Club in Rome and was called PEACE FROG from DOORS. .
This was his first appearance behind the Console. His first real gig was 2002 at the WOODOO LOUNGE where he mixed rhythms to the likes of CHILL and LOUNGE....to then finish using a mix of CHILL HOUSE SOUNDS. After his experience at WOODOO, during the year 2003 he flew and lived in Ibiza...it was there that he discovered new DJ's and most of all new sounds.
After mixing at various private after parties on the Island he then returned to Italy where he became Resident on Thursday nights in the Privee' section at CLOCK mixing various "chill out" Rhythms and touching just the tip of sought after Deep House. He becomes the Founder of the annual event BEFORE AND AFTER TEA IN THE MAGIC MUSHROOMS HOUSE which took place for the first time in June 2000
His gigs for 2004/2005 included many appearances behind the console in the privee lounge section of the very well know Friday night organization called MUCCASSASINA at the Club QUBE in Rome where a more uplifting sound of House music prevailed. He also found himself behind the Console of the well know Roman club ALIBI on December 1st 2004 for the world fight against Aids event. 2005 saw him resident DJ at THE LUX in Italy where alternating between Deep House and psy-Trance was the mix that kept clubbers dancing all night long. he still mixes at the best weekend afterparties in Rome dedicating himself to rhythms that push one hard yet applying timed rhythmic melodies to compensate and uplift.
<bHe has recently mixed at the famous Rome parties all well known spots for the clubbers of Rome of all music types. 2006/2007/2008 dj resident at -alibi club. i played this year in italy,spain,germany,holland,hungary,thailandia..and another country.
2010 start the new project with best friend (dj,producer and musician)VICTOR F.QBEEK.the project name is DUOLOGIC.
2015 start new project called ALIEN VISITORS
in 2021 he creates a new label called NEA RECORDS
