It has been a long running gag at KOMPAKT that there is an adversity to our male staff having a mustache. The truth is that there are scarce few in the history of our company who have managed to get away with having a furry friend on their face. But due to the pandemic and lockdown, the staff Zoom meetings were confronted with an unprecedented snot mop overgrowth.

The solution was right under our noses. We had become entranced with a producer from Paris that has successfully managed to take the torch from the golden age of Gigolo fueled electro-pop and merge it with that signature Kompakt sexiness we crave and that we hope you hear in many of our club tracks.

He goes by the name of Captain Mustache. He has brought to Kompakt tolerance and acceptance for those who whistle with a bristle. Fred is anything but a crumb catcher and has an exemplary but short history of releases. Be it with Chicks On Speed, Correspondant, Bordello A Parigi or Helena Hauf’s Return To Disorder.  And now we present this fine double header. Play Paul (on vocals) joins for the title track called “Everything” and it is just that.  “Pulsions Organiques" brings a somewhat broken beat to his electro flavor saver tendencies. And an instrumental of “Everything” rounds things off for those who like it a little more lower brow.

AVA. Records celebrates its 10th anniversary with 52 artists. 10 Yahre is a 4LP compilation housing 22 tracks, a printed 30 pages magazin and a mixed CD. All wrapped in a custom made silkscreen sleeve, also including a textile keychain and stickers. Sonically spanning from ambient to techno, 10 Yahre carries new and exclusive material, all woven around the label’s decade focus on dance floor culture, started 2011 in Cologne, Germany.

DGTL Records marks its fifth anniversary in style with brand new album ‘5YRS of DGTL Records’. The 14-track long player is released on April 16th as a 4x 12” vinyl set and drops digitally across 4 separate EP releases between February 18 and April 1, of which the third one features Adriatique, Roman Flügel and Nicky Elisabeth. All three make their debut on the imprint.

5YRS of DGTL Records is a perfect reflection of not just of the label itself but also its global event patron: headliners sitting equally alongside local talent and up-and-coming acts. Over the past five years, DGTL Records has grown into its own as a fully-fledged musical arm of the overall DGTL musical experience.

Adriatique (@adriatique) ramps up the third release with the uplifting and progressive track, ‘Arcade Mode’. A constant drive is layered throughout the track supported by deep kicks, warm synths and soothing sound design, ‘Arcade Mode’ delivers you a sense of enlightenment and freedom.
Roman Flügel (@roman-fluegel) brings in the sun with ‘The Mass’. Tribal elements are found throughout, from the jumpy drum patterns to springy synths, which helps deliver this sense of optimism even further, embodying a truly warm summer song. 
To close the third release Nicky Elisabeth (@nicky-elisabeth) delivers ‘Into Your Arms’, riddled with a sense of nostalgia, yet also hopefulness. With soothing vocals and warm percussions throughout the track, lose yourself to memories of the past as breakcore drum patterns and bouncy kicks take you by surprise.

After his contribution to the FTTF28, DJ and producer Gorgin returns to Diynamic with his first full EP titled „Heartbeater"
Opener „Paradigma" is a moody Indie Dance thumper with retro percussion elements and organic synth textures.
„Heartbeater" is a rapid-racing sunset soundtrack for when you're driving down the Mediterranean coast at the end of summer.
If you've ever wondered how a club night within a broadband modem in the 90s would have sounded like, look no further than „Cellular Desire". Cool glances, big jackets, lots of smoke and flashing strobe.
And „Don't Be Sad" is the happy ending of the record - it gives you a nod and a wink before it sends you off into the night.

Stavroz managed to create a wholesome, comforting soundtrack for a place, which no words can describe. Take a rest, lay down, close your eyes and listen to a story told in an orchestral fashion, with such profession and ear for details like Luise never heard before. We are deeply impressed and thankful alike to be able to present this musical masterpiece. A heartly welcome to Stavroz, everyone.

Giza DJs are the artistic project of @gianpietromusic & Tiziano. The two Italians merged their skills and shared influences establishing themselves as an eclectic production and DJ duo with a recognizable style in the electronic music panorama. Their approach combines warm melodic synths with raw effects. Their music is strongly inspired by the natural context of the nearby Dolomites, the mountain areas of their hometown.
