A Whisper In The Dark

30 years of bedroom music production has finally resulted in the first official studio LP. Father of two comes up with an intimate self-confident record balancing between soulful electronica and calm triphop beats with contemporary jazz influences.

Time Goes By does not reflect thirty years of playing the piano, but thirty years of playing around with the piano. The same goes for the drums. Creativity and gamification before craftsmanship. Art driven artist. Mood, atmosphere and emotion before melody and harmony.

I have come a long way from pure electronic music to more organic sound with influences of modern jazz and big calm chillout music. My instrumentals are always a result of music ideas, sound collages, experiments and improvisations. It took me a year to prepare the material for the record and it was more of an adventure than anything else.

This is a song about Casey. There are many songs about Casey, but they are not all about this Casey. This Casey is a twat... He might be the same Casey as in Kris Kristofferson's song "Casey's last ride", but that still has to be confirmed. Please do not feel sad about Casey.

Yeah I know, sounds very 70th or even 60th, but well, I dont mind that much. It was a pretty quick production. Song created in 3.5 hrs only.

Here is the very first version with my own vocals. But my friend Paul from the Philippines kindly will contribute his "rocky" vocals to this track soon.

Enough For Now

Sometimes fears can paralyze you. But are those fears real or not real? Better hunt them and find peace within yourself even if the journey can be tormented and with obstacles.

Hunting Ghosts

I'm probably in the middle of a bad wave in real life. I guess it's called a slump. I hope everyone is doing well, though I know we all go through hard times and bad times periodically. Thanks for reading. Also, I'm glad you're interested in my music.

Lately, the 8-string guitar has become an integral part of my songs. I don't know how long I can keep this style going, but I try to do interesting things in my songs whenever possible. Strumming the bass strings in the clean tones is one example, but I don't actually use the bass guitar in that part. In other parts I play the bass guitar myself, of course.
