A song that I began to write whilst still at school, that feeling of the world closing in on you, closing down your dreams, time to 'get real'. I recorded it much later in the 2010s. 

Just another crazy mixed up kid
That's how they explained away everything he did
He's  living for his own self
Living in this own world

Cos he doesn't think we care
Give him a couple of months to work things out
Give him a chance to find what life is all about
Then take him out of his shell
Bring him into our world
Then we can soon tell if this kid is going anywhere

What can you say when they take it all away
When all the fools rush in to give away their time
They leave the pieces of their dreams on walls too high to climb
It's no-one's fault, it happens
