Substencia is a producer, musician and DJ based in Paris. Active in the electronic scene for many years, she has been involved in labels, webzines and parties and party organization over the time. Since 2017, she offers a technoid and dark industrial production flow with several releases on labels like Instinkt, COUP, DVNTT or Sestra Records.

Resident DJ of Monarch parties in Paris, her sets are characterized by a heavy and cinematrographic techno, wrapped in ambient textures, with a pronounced taste for celestial melodies and cosmic nuances.

We are extremely happy to have her on board for this one, since she is easily one of our very favourite DJs! 🙏
Helena started out as a resident DJ at Pudel Club in Hamburg, a legendary space where she perfected her mixing skills that now make her one of the best djs in the world 🧨  

Over the last 10 years she has not only stuck to djing but also produced her own music, resulting in two albums that she released in 2015 & 2018 which were both widely celebrated, as well as several EPs. 

For Spandau20 she has delivered one hour of pure vinyl-mastery, full of electro / breakbeat gold and we couldn’t be prouder to share it with you today 🖤

Musician, producer and resident DJ of parisian collective Monarch, Substencia 
is active in the electronic scene since many years by getting involved in labels, 
webzines and events organization. As a teenager in the 90Õs, she grew up with 
raves and hardcore sounds while playing acoustic instruments and became a 
real melomaniac. 
After listening and ingesting a lot of music, she has been producing since 2017 
and released tracks and remixes for several labels as @instinktrecords, @coupprojekt, @subvertedscene, @durchparty, @dvntt, Unusual, and recently @kallkallan where she released 
her third EP. Her music is midway between industrial techno collages and sort 
of emotional doom atmospheres, her tracks are regularly played by @ancient-methods, @kenny_campbell, @cassie_raptor 
As a DJ she is known for her intense and cinematographic mixes, with a very 
personal approach to music thanks to her influences in various styles : pure 
industrial music, dark ambient, UK old school techno or even baroque music.

many international artists. Highly personal and instinctive, her approach to music has

ambient, neofolk, 90’s techno and baroque music: her many influences give to her DJ sets a
cinematic, organic and intense dimension.
She has played all over France at parties and festivals such as Château Perché, FIFIB, and
in clubs all over Europe as Elipamanoke in Leipzig or Moog in Barcelona.
Since 2021, she has been part of the post-industrial noise duo Kabocha, who have released
their first EP, “Human Exceptionalism”, on their own label in April 2023 and started
performing live.

”This mix is a short but intense representation of what I've been listening to for a few years now. I love to incorporate in my sets other genres that I’ve enjoyed as a melomaniac: dark ambient, industrial noise, downtempo techno pieces, and ultra-deep melancholic music (to name a few) to create a dystopian and cinematographic atmosphere. 

It is an exploration of my relationship with music and the influences that have shaped me both musically and personally. It is designed to take listeners to unexpected places, disorient them, allow them to find themselves, provoke surprises, discomforts, or pleasures, and invite them to experience various emotions while letting themselves be totally carried by the music”.

Aliha attracted attention in Hamburg with some incomparable underground raves in an old abandoned bunker. Together with Temasa she is now Hosting Hamburgs Party and Podcast Series Neogen.
She has already curated parties at various Clubs in Hamburg like PAL and Rote Flora and there is more to come from her.
Since her Homebase PAL had to close its doors, she played in some of Hamburgs Most famous Clubs like Südpol and Übel und Gefährlich. But also in Berlin, in Budapest or Pavoia Festival in Poland you could have seen her making people dance and bringing some spark to the venue. You will hear that she is inspired by natural sounds and some housy tunes. She definitly has her own well-known sound which is hypnotic with a lot of emotion and a groove that keeps you moving.

Julie Lojkine took up mixing at a point in life when most DJs have already left the scene. The name Mother came naturally: whispered in the clubs where she often played, until it simply became part of her. What was once a nickname became her identity. Mother began mixing industrial techno three years ago in the heart of Parisian LGBT nightlife, shaping her sound within the hard industrial Monasterio movement.

In recent months, she has drastically lowered her BPM to align with her first productions, soon to be released on @revokrecords: 4 tracks delivering an anguishing urge to dance, as if to exorcise the madness of a world falling apart. Her sets attempt to reconcile her new and earlier influences, merging the hard kicks of Eastern Europe with the organic percussions and trippy atmospheres of the original scene.

Mother is also the founder and resident of the FLINTA collective @techno_fatale. Julie Lojkine has recently played for Parisian well-known industrial events (Ghost Night, Monarch, T4P) in emblematic places such as the Monarch, Glazart or KM25.

Described as a full body sonic experience,
Max has mastered his craft. Known for his unique mix of coldwave, italo & post-punk cleverly cut with harsh and punishing ebm beats and techno grooves. He's held many residencies across his city including his own queer high NRG - dark disco night: Discorotica 

With profits going to trans+ folk in need.
He has guested at various goth and alternative nights around the UK and online, all while keeping activism and an unstoppable determination to bring trans representation, queer liberation and safety to events at his core.

Drawing from the hammering sounds of the industrial scene where it all began for Max as a DJ, this mix is an intricate blend of everything that encapsulates the mood and style of his mixes, from EBM & darkwave, to new beat influenced sounds inspired by the club nights he's ran and that helped shaped him and his sound.

Based in Paris, Substencia has been an activist of the electronic scene since early 00's, starting play livesets on little techno parties in south of France. 
Highly marked by early hardcore, industrial, classical, experimental, and post-punk music, her sets are characterized by an abrasive techno, wrapped in ambient and noise textures, with high taste of heavenly melodies and cosmic shades. 
Real passionated DJ, she started to produce music more seriously since 2 years, she released her 1st track on the UK label "Øbskure" in 2017. 
She's been a member of few netlabels from 2004 to 2011, and recently has been music writer for the french collective Paradox for 2 years. In april 2019, she launched her own webradio called Devour The Sound in 2019, wich is dedicated to electronic music, from noise to techno.
