When we picked up Jazzuelle for an original single at the end of 2024, we knew we wanted to do something special to ring in the new year. It didn’t take long for us to realize we wanted to ask Fred Everything if he’d be interested in handling remix duties. We’ve been wanting to work with Fred since early last year and have always loved his work on Jazzuelle’s highly successful single “Forget Me” with Lazarusman. So, it was a no-brainer for us.

We’re glad he was eager to take on the project and excited to share both his Vocal Remix and Dub versions with you! While both versions retain much of the beautiful musical instrumentation of the original mix, Fred has given them a slightly darker tone that we think you’ll find perfectly complements Jazzuelle’s original.

The Vision returns with the third single from their eponymous debut album, along with remixes from two of the scene’s most revered producers. ‘Missing’ treads the familiar tale of love lost with a stark openness, a funk-filled track underpinned by a catchy vocal hook sure to resonate with its listeners. As one half of The Vision, this release is the first where Ben Westbeech provides vocals as well as producing behind the scenes alongside Kon, perfectly matched with regular collaborator Andreya Triana to bring the heartfelt lyrics to life. Swiss DJ Deetron is the first to provide a remix for the package, flawlessly executed with bubbling synths and snapping percussion, as the Character Records boss explores the emotional potential of dancefloor-destined house to compelling effect. Up next, underground hero Maurice Fulton steps up to the plate, an artist described by Resident Advisor as “making some of the most unhinged house out there”, his mix may strike listeners as surprising with its stripped-back feel. With extended instrumental breaks perfect for club play, the reflective feel of Maurice’s mix aptly suits the message of the record, as elegant guitar riffs and warm synths make his an irresistible version. ‘Missing’ is no exception to The Vison’s existing discography, as meaningful messaging is paired with flawless execution to produce a record with all the makings of a future classic.

Hailing from Japan where he started collecting records and listening to a wide variety of music, DJ Blue Funk is currently located in Saint Paul, MN where he puts together mixes and keeps up with his habit of obsessively digging for music from around the globe, both new and old.

Glasgow Underground was set up in 1997 by Kevin McKay. He began the label releasing his own music and collaborations with friends and other Glasgow-based artists (Omid 16b, Studio Blue, DJ Q, Harri). Through his DJing and work for various music magazines (Muzik, Jockey Slut, Mixmag Update) he met some of his favourite producers of the time (Romanthony, Mateo & Matos, Idjut Boys...) and convinced some of them to join him releasing on GU. In the early 2000s, Kevin met Mylo and set up the Breastfed record label. The global success of "Destroy Rock & Roll" meant Glasgow Underground was put on hold. After leaving the Breastfed label in 2011, Kevin re-started Glasgow Underground and since then the label has gone on to re-invigorate Romanthony's catalogue with remixes from the likes of Dixon, MCDE, Gerd, Andres, Oliver Dollar, Ejeca, Audiojack, Claptone, Christian Nielsen, Supernova, Jimmy Edgar and Waifs & Strays. The label has also introduced producers like Daniel Trim, Brett Gould, Mia Dora and Illyus & Barrientos as well has releasing established & rising stars such as Metodi Hristov, Stefano Ritteri and Sabb.
