When Kevin McKay met Jen Payne in Dublin in 2021, the pair instantly hit it off. Since then, they've produced countless tracks together and enjoyed many a B2B. Jen's style is more high-octane than Kevin's, and so when they come together, their tracks are wonderfully balanced with an incredible energy that suits a lot of DJs. Recently, they've both been adding Afro house flavours in their sets, and they wanted to try that on their 2022 version of Rihanna's hit song "Pon De Replay". So here, complete with killer bongo rolls and a groove to die for, is their 2025 version. It's a summer heater!

We discovered Tenerife-based DJ and producer Adrian Izquierdo through his killer groove, “Lost,” on 6 Sounds Records. It’s the kind of energy-packed rolling thumper we want to hear in a dark basement at 2am. We asked him for more of the same, and he has delivered, and then some. “Easy” takes the raw, driving pulse of “Lost” and upgrades it with a wickedly rhythmic vocal hook. “Easy come, easy go”, the vocal chants over the kind of hyped-up groove we’d expect to hear at elRow from Tini Gessler. Mallin follows up his killer collab with Sam Dexter with another one of his classic deep house "lullabies." For this release, he teams up with Kevin McKay (something they have done before, back in 2020). The two of them enlist the vocal talents of Brazilian chanteuse Nyla and deliver a beautiful, original, deep house groove. Luscious Rhodes and a subtle, bumping bass form the backing for NYLA's heart-stopping top line. Add in layers of lilting percussion and some sparkling synth sprinkles, and you have a perfect Ibizan sunset anthem. Gorgeous.

Allan Nunez makes a statement debut on Toolroom Trax with ‘Chorro de Agua’, a Latin House workout with rich, authentic sounds straight from the heart of South America. 

At the core of the production is a beautifully re-imagined sample from Gaiteros de Pueblo Santo, a traditional Columbian ensemble known for their raw, percussive sound and folkloric storytelling. And to lean deeper into their Latin roots, Allan brings in the unmistakable voice of Cumbia Queen, a seasoned South American vocalist whose voice carries generations of authenticity. 

‘Chorro de Agua’ respects the source material while giving it new life for the dancefloor, balancing driving house beats with layers of live instrumentation and percussion. A track that hits hard in the club, but still honours the spirit of Latin music.

Glasgow Underground was set up in 1997 by Kevin McKay. He began the label releasing his own music and collaborations with friends and other Glasgow-based artists (Omid 16b, Studio Blue, DJ Q, Harri). Through his DJing and work for various music magazines (Muzik, Jockey Slut, Mixmag Update) he met some of his favourite producers of the time (Romanthony, Mateo & Matos, Idjut Boys...) and convinced some of them to join him releasing on GU. In the early 2000s, Kevin met Mylo and set up the Breastfed record label. The global success of "Destroy Rock & Roll" meant Glasgow Underground was put on hold. After leaving the Breastfed label in 2011, Kevin re-started Glasgow Underground and since then the label has gone on to re-invigorate Romanthony's catalogue with remixes from the likes of Dixon, MCDE, Gerd, Andres, Oliver Dollar, Ejeca, Audiojack, Claptone, Christian Nielsen, Supernova, Jimmy Edgar and Waifs & Strays. The label has also introduced producers like Daniel Trim, Brett Gould, Mia Dora and Illyus & Barrientos as well has releasing established & rising stars such as Metodi Hristov, Stefano Ritteri and Sabb.
