Simply an iconic track from Swiss brothers Mandrax and Seb K aka Shakedown, ‘At Night’ is one of the most recognisable house tracks of the last two decades. With one of the most-hyped remixes of the year, artist of the moment Peggy Gou has seriously delivered with a squelching 7 minute groover, bringing in that iconic synth motif to lift the production and keep it rolling. Stepping up to tackle this masterpiece with a nu-disco dance track, Tiger & Woods use cowbell to accent a B-boy beat, with drum machine breaks bringing it back to the dancefloor. Finally in the package is a brand new mix from the Shakedown duo themselves, the Galactic Boogie. With saturated synths and interplanetary breakdowns, Shakedown bring a carefree 80s quality to this iconic track’s irresistible after-dark charm.

DeMarzo - People Moving is the third fantastic release on Pusher Records and it features remixes from Prunk and rising producer, Aron Volta. PIV Records affiliate DeMarzo, is the label boss here who splits his time between Leeds and London and is a multi instrumentalist with a dance floor orientated vibe. 

‘People Moving’ is a tripped out, slick and cosmic groove with rubbery drums pumping the vibes. ‘I Came To Party’ is more paired back, but still with warm, soulful, late night deep house vibes. Prunk remixes ‘People Moving’ into a more lithe and upbeat track but one that still has a sense of electronic soul, and Aron Volta layers in a cosmic feeling that pulls you right in. 

This is another class EP from this ever more essential label.

This track went a completely different way than expected. Most of my productions recently have been the deep house, feel-good kinda tracks, this one is dark and hard-hitting. With a deep low end and some dirty drums complimented by the lovely Cassie vocal, this record turned out perfect Hope you enjoy it!

As we get set to draw 2020 to a close, we’re back with another huge remix. This time, Wankelmut & Anna Leyne’s ‘Free At Last’ gets the remix treatment from Disco maestro Mousse T. 

In 1998 his hit single ‘Horny’ cemented Mousse T. into the charts, gaining international success, and even became one of the most defining Dance tunes of the 90s. Fast forward to now, and he still remains a House & Disco legend. He’s also got a Grammy Nomination under his belt for ‘best remixer’ - always driven by his curiosity for experimenting with new musical variations combined with his outstanding creative ability.

For this remix, Mousse T comes complete with a slick Disco baseline, catchy piano stabs and some seriously cool guitar licks. His added Disco flare sets this alight in a whole new world.

Wankelmut & Anna Leyne - Free At Last (Mousse T. Extended Mix)

Glasgow Underground was set up in 1997 by Kevin McKay. He began the label releasing his own music and collaborations with friends and other Glasgow-based artists (Omid 16b, Studio Blue, DJ Q, Harri). Through his DJing and work for various music magazines (Muzik, Jockey Slut, Mixmag Update) he met some of his favourite producers of the time (Romanthony, Mateo & Matos, Idjut Boys...) and convinced some of them to join him releasing on GU. In the early 2000s, Kevin met Mylo and set up the Breastfed record label. The global success of "Destroy Rock & Roll" meant Glasgow Underground was put on hold. After leaving the Breastfed label in 2011, Kevin re-started Glasgow Underground and since then the label has gone on to re-invigorate Romanthony's catalogue with remixes from the likes of Dixon, MCDE, Gerd, Andres, Oliver Dollar, Ejeca, Audiojack, Claptone, Christian Nielsen, Supernova, Jimmy Edgar and Waifs & Strays. The label has also introduced producers like Daniel Trim, Brett Gould, Mia Dora and Illyus & Barrientos as well has releasing established & rising stars such as Metodi Hristov, Stefano Ritteri and Sabb.
